The hotel heard the story of a group of international tourists trying to get home to their own country and opened their doors to the travelers who had been in quarantine for a few months in southern Ecuador. The group was too far away from international airports early in the epidemic to reach their various country's relief flights as the roads were closed. Finally the multinational group was able to hire a private plane, with Ecuador's blessing, to take the group to Florida, USA. "The place was beautiful and secure. However, we arrived very late due to a flight delay. The receptionist of the building seemed bothered by us getting there at 3 in the morning. We needed to take a shower due to the long day, but unfortunately the host left one towel knowing very well we were a family of 5. The air conditioning in the living room wasn’t working. We contacted the host to let them know about the a/c problem and to give us access to the pool, but the host never responded."
