I don't want to tell anyone about this great cabin because I want it to always be available for me! It's a perfect getaway cabin near Carbondale, Giant City, and the wine trail. Steve was a great host. The cabin is well appointed with 2 gorgeous bathrooms. The outdoor space is maximized with a large hot tub and outdoor grill and fire pit. We loved soaking and looking at the stars. With a college student at SIUC and mile's of trails to be explored, we will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I had a great mini-vaca. We’re local and just wanted a night away. Everything we could have needed was available, down to the pizza cutter. The hot tub was just what we needed to relax after a long work week. We ended up checking out a night early due to unforeseen circumstances, but will definitely be going back when we have the time.

Great hot tub, clean rooms. Kitchen has everything you could need. Host was very nice. The porch is fully enclosed with a latching door, which was great for our dog. Highly recommend!

Host was flexible and quickly responsive. Every need was anticipated and provided for. The deck and hot tub were great! (Firepit didn't work but we didn't need it.) My husband made huge breakfasts each morning and had everything he needed. It was nice to be able to bring our dog! Perfect, quiet location near wineries and Giant City State Park. We and our adult daughter and our dog had a wonderful time!

Hot tub was clean. We did scoop out stuff daily to keep it cleaner. Kitchen is set up nicely. Everything you would need in it, (except a casserole dish, LOL) Bedrooms are awesome and I love the bathrooms. Outside patio is so relaxing. Love the little gas fire pit. Outside grill was clean and we used it everyday!

Very nice and clean property. We will likely stay there again when we come down to visit my daughter in college. Very close to SIU campus. The only things I wanted to bring up are the internet was in and out most of the time we were there and also there is a leak under sink of middle bathroom. But those are not big issues at all.

This cabin was perfect for my wifes 40th birthday getaway! We invited two other couples to join us. We explored the views of southern Illinois, went to many local wineries and ended out evening sitting around the fire pit and soaking in the hottub! It was good to get away from reality and decompress with some close friends. We shared many laughs and life stories. Talked about our kids and goals in life. Steve(owner) stopped and introduced himself as we were unloading our things on the first night! He made it perfectly clear that if we needed anything at all to call and he would be sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back to enjoy another weekend.

The cabin was well-stocked and is in a great location, close to many of the hiking trails and vineyards we visited. We had a couple of hiccups first with Wi-Fi and then the dishwasher, but the owner was very responsive and provided excellent communication. Also, the hot tub was a welcome respite at the end of our hiking days :-)

Relaxing

Friends just wanting to get away from our kids and responsibilities and this cabin was perfect. Close enough to town that we went out for some very nice meals and exploring and a fully functional kitchen for all the snacking and lounging we were looking for. Perfect mom getaway.
