Great for the airport

The room was immaculate and the service really warm and hospitable. They cooked a delicious roast chicken for me which I really enjoyed. The bed was a queen it was firm and fairly comfortable, but the sound proofing is non-existent and light came through the curtains which I found made it hard for me to sleep. Perfectly located for the airport - I would recommend it, for the service and cleanliness alone.

You're probably going to choose this guesthouse because it's near the airport - and in that respect it's excellent. Clean and convenient. They were able to do a dinner and provided coffee before our early flight.

The staff were great, but had a super weird experience with the owner, where she made threats to me and my family, including having us detained by her friends at immigration. It was about the payment. I booked this on Expedia and every other time I have booked lodging it is paid upfront. Apparently this one was not. Which I didn’t notice. A few hours after we left, the owner, said she was not paid. I told her that seemed odd and asked her to show verification. Instead of sending that she immediately wrote multiple threats about having us detained at immigration when we leave the country, that she knew the immigration people and had already talked to them and would have them detain us. The rate of escalation was kind of nuts. I told her from the start I would pay, but just needed to see verification that she was not in fact paid. She continued to threaten and send guilt trips. Not the biggest deal in the world, and I don’t normally write reviews, but this one was pretty uncomfortable so figured I would share it. She has since sent verification, and I have paid her, but we have not attempted to go through immigration yet, so not sure what will occur when we do. One of the weirdest interactions I have encountered in having booked hundreds of lodging over the years.

Classic guesthouse and what you can expect from location. Slightly noisy from the nearby road and airport. But same nearness makes it an ideal stopover if you simply need a place to rest before an early flight.

Just okay.

They seem surprised when we showed up and did not have a room ready. The restaurant supposedly on premises was closed already at 7:30 pm. There is no food nearby except a convenience store with chips and soda. The road is so dark and no shoulders and heavy traffic that we didn't dare walk anywhere. We saw a big cockroach on the wall in the hallway and a lizard jumped on my friend's leg in the bathroom, where the bathtub base had a big hole in it. It is near the airport but still requires a taxi. Breakfast was yogurt, banana, toast and juice. Since no credit card could be used, we scraped up enough cash. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and we did have air conditioning in the room. Seemed expensive for what it offered.

I booked a room here because of an early morning flight and was initially impressed with the room size since a sitting room and small kitchen were included. It seemed like a good 3-star option for families on a budget who could hire a car to go to nearby beaches. I looked forward to giving it a glowing review until a bird-sized cockroach flew past my head in the sitting room and later made its way into the bedroom, despite a closed door. The bathroom was also covered by a 100 little bugs since I apparently turned off the wrong light switch and left the light on during the night. For me, it was a bit nightmarish, though I eventually got to sleep after battling the cockroach to its death.
