HOME OF THE GRAND MADISON LAKE PADDLE FISH
State of Minnesota issued a seizure permit #202888 for us to be able to keep the skull and a replica of the fish. This skeleton of a paddle fish washed up on Madison Lake beach in 1989. From this skeleton the folks at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and the Missouri Game and Fish department provided their best estimate of weight over 100 lbs, length 68 inches, and age approximately 35 years old. Paddle fish are plankton eaters with no teeth and are harmless to humans and illegal to catch in Minnesota.

Lots of off street parking for all your water toys! 150 lineal feet of sandy beach with over hanging willow trees to hold the pan fish close for shore fishing. We are in the process of building a sand box for when the water levels are high and our beach is under water. Our fish cleaning shed with screens, light, and water as well as a space to keep your gear locked up over night (bring your own padlock) is now finished! We have two boating docks available! The boat ramp is a short drive around the bay to the south. For our fellow artists we have set up a bright classroom area facing Madison Lake. It has 12 desks with easels and brush holders, drawing boards, and a grand instructors oak easel, storage cabinet, extra folding chairs and stools all looking toward the lake. Ideal for sleepovers or just an evening of wine and cheese paint parties! Great as an extra option for more sleeping space when renting our Log Inn #HA9246925 two parcels away which sleeps 24 and has plenty of extra social spaces! Scrapbookers welcomed!
