Mackenzie Printery and Newspaper Museum

We did not use the pool but I can comment on the room. We had two rooms and both had issues. One room the mattress was so horrible you rolled to the centre - the other mattress in the room was lumpy. Our other room clearly had some sort of red stain on the carpet they tried to remove. The carpet was damp, the sheets were damp and our dry clothes we left on out ended up getting damp within hours. The room also had a smell. We complained about the damp room and were given instructions to keep the air conditioner colder. That didn’t work so we asked about a new room again - the manager did come check the room and then he said he would give us a fan. The fan did seem to help come morning however everyone had a bad sleep due to the coldness of the room as well as the noise from the fan and air conditioner combo. The manager did try to make it right and after we asked gave us breakfast free of charge for the next day. While the breakfast tasted good, the service was horrible. We had to ask three times for coffee, were never given a refill or asked what my mom would order knowing she wasn’t getting the buffet - she ended up having to just eat at the buffet because nobody came back to ask her for the order. My parents bill was incorrect and then the server was unhappy with the tip and left the restaurant to track us down to tell us so - if only she would have been that attentive at the restaurant! Good location but that’s about it unfortunately

Clean ,secure with an amazing breakfast spread.1 of the best hotel buffets I’ve ever had.Close proximity to downtown ,Union station,Scotiabank arena & Rogers centre.Highly recommend.
