"We always stay in Clinton on our way home from Panama City Beach to DFW. This was our first stay ay the Holiday Inn Express. It was great. Right off Hwy 20, close to a great dinner spot(Applebee’s ) and a free delicious breakfast. This will be our spot for our future trips."

"I booked this place because of the cleanliness ratings. VERY INACCURATE. Upon arrival, I noticed a strong urine odor. I also almost slipped on a slick substance in the bathroom. I tried to clean the toilet a bit, but the smell persisted. Eventually, I asked to be moved to a new room because the smell was so overwhelming that I couldn’t sleep. The desk was unhelpful and indifferent. I was told there were no rooms left. There was no offer to send a cleaning crew or even inspect the room. I emphasized that the smell was terrible, and the front desk said, "Oh, I guess I'll have to make a note to management, that's all I can do to help you." This was said, but there was no attempt to get my name or room number, which made it very clear that no complaint would be filed. Eventually, I went back to my room after an unsuccessful attempt to relocate via the platform. After falling asleep, I woke up and noticed a weird substance on one of my pillows. I realized that the urine smell was coming from my sheets/bedding because they had not been changed or cleaned. Traumatizing. There was also hair everywhere, stains/spots, and food in the microwave. But URINE SCENTED SHEETS is the takeaway here."

"We have stayed here frequently through the four years our son was in college there, and although it has not been fancy, it was clean, allowed us a pleasant stay, worked well for the price. I am not one to leave negative reviews, but this stay was different. Although the service and personnel were friendly and helpful, the property property has gone downhill with multiple evidences of disrepair - cracks/broken frames on pictures, worn places in headboards, scraped edges of cabinets, no glass in frames, we didn’t have the tray for the coffee maker that holds the coffee pouch, the ironing board was torn is multiple places, missing parts of the arrows on the elevator indicating the direction it is going, etc. "

"Picture it. Jackson, Mississippi. 2026. 4:00 in the morning just getting off the road from St. Louis. We check in at the hotel after getting confirmation several times that the arrival time wouldn't matter, get the key, go up the elevator and get ready to open the door because we think we're about to go to sleep for a few hours before we have to get dressed to go to a graduation. We use the key the lady at the front desk gave us, opened the door and at first it looks uncleaned like someone left their stuff in the room and the staff didn't do anything but as we're standing in the entry way, we we hear someone with a froggy voice say, “Who is this? What are you doing?!” We look at each other, close the door, and the person comes to the door. We apologize and tell them that the front desk lady gave us a key to that room. We get back on the elevator and head to the front desk. The girl says she doesn’t know why someone was in the room and that she can’t get a manager. Instead of apoloogizing, she then proceeds to call the people in the room to ask when they got there. We tell her to hang up because that doesn’t matter, we walked into a room with people in it and that could have gone sideways. She says there is a room with no TV we could use and suddenly remembers that is why she gave away our room to the people she called to ask why they were in there. Still no apology. We ask to speak with a manager. She said they're not available. The Colonel and The Educator, my aunt and husb"
