This was the perfect location to house our family for our daughter’s wedding at Planet Bluegrass. There was so much space for the kids to have space to play and the adults could visit together. We loved our visits to St Vrain Market 10 min down the road. Looking forward to coming back!
Property was perfect for our large family gathering. Quiet, clean and enough space for all of us to hang. We were bummed to find the hottub was not properly functioning when we arrived but it did not ruin the trip. Appreciated the rustic vibe and had a good time checking out the surrounding area.
Kevin's house was perfect for our family stay. We loved the house, and wish we would have been able to stay longer. The kids and adults alike loved the game room and exploring outside. We are definitely hoping to come back one day. I would highly recommend staying here.
The property was perfect for our family. Sitting on the front porch was so relaxing. We even got to see a little wildlife while there which was very exciting for the kids that were with us. Thank you for a great time!
Came to Lyons for a family wedding. We were thrilled with the house - it comfortably housed 7 adults and 2 kids. Perfect location. The picture windows into the trees are a delight. The hot tub was a big hit. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!
Cant say enough great things about this property. Location is incredible. property is extremely well maintained. Host is responsive to all needs. If you are looking for privacy, cool fresh mountain air this is the spot for you. Does not disappoint in the slightest. Kid and adult friendly.
Beautiful cabin. We were here for wedding in Lyons and hiking at RMNP. Perfect location. The first floor bedroom worked so well for grandfather. Plenty of space to spread out. It was warm out (90 degrees) but bedrooms cooled down perfectly to sleep at night. Loved being woken to the birds singing. Will stay here again if in area.
This cabin was perfect for my family. It is even cuter than it looks online. There was plenty of table room for our Thanksgiving feast, the kitchen was perfect w two ovens and enough counter space. Every night some were in the hot tub. Ping pong was fun. It was just great. The host, Kevin, was absolutely the nicest and so accommo. I’d go back today if I could
We had a diverse group of family and friends joining us to celebrate our daughter’s wedding. They came from as far away as Scotland. There was plenty of rom to spread out and wonderful bathrooms to share. The recreation area complete with shuffleboard and ping pong was enjoyed by all. We especially liked breakfast on the front patio. The views were spectacular. We hope to return some day!
We had a great stay at Kevin's cabin. Check-in was easy, the house was well equipped with what we needed (some kitchen staples, plenty of cookware, linens and hot-tub towels, etc), and the location near to Lyons and Estes Park was great. The advertised stream was all dried up.. maybe that changes in the spring. Three of the bedrooms are great and what you would expect, but the fourth sits inside of and shares a (lovely) bathroom with the master suite, so that wasn't ideal. But the cabin itself is lovely and the sitting room is fabulous, with a large table for group meals and comfy sofas and ping pong table. And the hot tub was grand. We recommend the property for sure!

Great time in Estes Park
Like any cabin it had its great point and some down size points as well!
Overall a nice place!
Things that were disappointing…
There’s no AC in the bedrooms
We fought mice but to be expected in the mountains
Only one bathroom upstairs for everyone to share
Master guest room had a queen bed was hoping for a king
Very dark not good lighting!
20 minutes away from Estes Park
The grounds were unkept and weeds grownup around the cabin.
Kevin was very responsive and kind
We loved our time at the cabin! The property was great to hike around and the cabin was beautiful. We had plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids. The owner was very responsive to messages. The ping pong table and shuffler board were huge hits. The kitchen was stocked with everything we need. Easy to drive into both Estes Park and Lyons.
A few things to consider:
(1) This is a rustic cabin in the mountains, not the Ritz. There was a mouse that pretty much lived in the silverware drawer. Several times we’d open the drawer and it was there, one person even pet it. There were some deep ruts in the dirt access road.
(2) There is no AC except in one room. There are no blinds or curtains on any windows except the bathroom. There are fans, but we went in late July and it was very warm. Some people had a hard time sleeping because of heat and light.
(3) One of the bedrooms is only accessible through another bedroom. This wasn’t a problem for our group, but it could be for others.
(4) Some things need more upkeep. The hot tub was very cloudy and we had to clean it ourselves to swim. The dryer wasn’t working. Even with a small load it would constantly turn off.
(5) This property is listed for sale (we saw it online and featured at a brokers office in Estes). I assume the owner would close after any bookings if under contract. You may even want to buy it!
Overall, it’s a beautiful location that is centrally located to a lot of the front range and RMNP.
We had such a wonderful family Christmas holiday at this beautiful log house! The house is amazing—very spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the bedrooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed walking the land, the hot tub, the large TV and game room, the cozy fireplace room, and opening gifts next to the beautiful Christmas tree. It truly was a magical time for our family! The host was very accommodating and friendly.
This was a great property for our large group with a big age range! The big and little kids loved the game room and the adults loved all the space for everyone.
This was such an amazing place to stay. It was extremely well taken care of and lots of space for my family. I enjoyed the quiet outside and it was just so relaxing to sit out on the deck. This place is definitely one I would highly recommend staying at. Kevin was great with communication and it was very easy to access. If you are looking for a place with lots of room and a wonderful host and beautiful area. Don't pass this one up!!
