「The Reluctant Panther was a cut above the other inns that I have stayed at. On check in, we were walked to our room and shown where everything was. The room was very large and comfortable. There was a nice seating area in front of a fireplace. We chose to eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and had a truly excellent meal and excellent service. Breakfast is served in a basket that can be picked up in the dining room or delivered to your room. All in all, our stay was exceptional. 」

「The location is amazing. Beautiful outdoor facilities (pool, hot tub, fireplace) but the views of the green mountains are what is most beautiful about this place. The hotel is being renovated and we stayed at one of the upgrades rooms and it was wonderful. Everything was spotless. 「The place was well located and cool vibe. The big problem for me was the strong mildew smell. They desperately need a dehumidification system in the rooms. I thought I would get used to it but every time I woke up during the night I smelled it. When I returned home I smelled my PJ’s before putting them in the wash and they smelled mildew ish.」

「I do not normally give a mediocre review but I had to in this case. The view was great and the room had been redecorated not that long ago I feel but the bed had to be decades old. We got very poor sleep as the bed was sunken in in the middle into a big valley it wasn’t anything the front desk could have solved. So on our second night we put one of the pillows between us so we didn’t roll to the middle ( we are not heavy people either ) and we slept a little better. It also was very hard. ...

「Beautiful resort with spacious rooms. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the historical architecture and ambiance. The pool and hot tub were perfect. We only wish that the hot tub stayed open later (it was closed at 8:30 pm). The restaurant was too dark and dull looking ( could have used better lighting and more color). The food was delicious!」

「We had a lovely time staying in the Tower Room for our wedding weekend! The space feels like it's own tiny apartment with a winding center staircase leading up to a luxurious spa-like bathroom, perfect for getting ready in the morning and relaxing at night! The staff was kind and helpful, our only regret was not being able to stay on property longer, we will definitely be coming back to try the famous French Toast at breakfast!」

「Best part: Breakfast and the views. Communication and follow through were not what I was hoping for. We reported fire ants being at the door on the first night. Received an email saying they would have a service person address it. Next morning the ants made their way into the room. I notified staff the next morning, in person, and was assured it was taken care of. We had ants the entire time, which because more and more of a problem, as one might expect. Additionally, we paid $300 at the Inn...
