Romantic SML Penthouse, Bernard’s Landing. Smith Mountain Lake 3 Pools

"We were disappointed in the description of the property as a "Romantic Penthouse". The condo has a nice view of the lake from a distance. but could use some updating. There is a musty smell when you enter the condo. There was one small bar of soap in the bathroom. The plasctic bathtub squeaked when you stepped on it. The pillows on the bed were flat and there was no pillowcase for the extra pillow in the closet. There was a pile of lint in the dryer. The sponge in the kitchen smelled. Only one dishtowel, one dishcloth and one sponge were provided. There were no tissues or napkins. Better instructions regarding the use of You Tube TV should be provided. We had to sign on to our own account. One of the remote controls needed new batteries and there were none available. We share these comments as suggestions to the owner to provide a better stay. We did enjoy our time there, but some things could be improved."

"The host was extremely responsive and pleasant. We had a group of 10 men that have stayed in various locations over the last 10 years and multiple of the group stated this was the best house to date. We had plenty of space and amenities. The location is great and our trip was another for the memory books. The walk to the dock is extremely reasonable and multiples of appliances were a bonus."

"Exceptional location with awesome views of the mountains. Amenities and layout of the house were amazing and accommodated our big family with plenty of parking. Grandson caught a 4 or 5 pound largemouth off the dock as a bonus.Thanks for sharing your home."
