Mariners Landing; Dockside Cottage Ludington

This dockside cottage is located in the quaint coastal town of Ludington, on Lake Michigan. Mariners Landing is perfect for those looking to experience activities in a small urban environment with maritime appeal. Its location in an small urban setting allows exploration by foot. Within minutes guest can land at one of the many restaurants, experience craft beer, or stroll by the marina to Waterfront Park. A ten minute walk will get you to the heart of town; along the way there are numerous eateries, breweries and shops for your leisure.

Mariners Landing is a two bedroom, 1.5 bath home with a large kitchen and comfortable living room. It sits adjacent to the home of the SS Badger Carferry, the only passenger steamship still in operation in the US. From mid-May to mid-October, guests are able to view and experience the daily departure and arrival of the SS Badger from various places in and outside of the home. The covered cement patio allows a place to relax and enjoy the views, in a private setting.

Ludington cottage

Ideally located cottage filled with amenities provided by thoughtful owners. Very clean, welcoming, comfortable. Very walkable area with great views of the Badger (all lit up at night). We loved it.

Family Trip

A week in Ludington with family. My sister n brother-in-law stayed with me, another sister stayed at a different property. We all loved this house. The layout, amenities, location were perfect! Very quiet and yet close enough to walk to downtown. Loved it!!

Perfect for quiet and relaxation

So impressed with this well-stocked cottage! Linens were hotel quality, towels were spa-worthy (and plentiful!), and furniture was in great condition. Kitchen was well-organized and full of anything you need including skillets and knives in excellent condition. Like others mention, the departure and arrival of the SS Badger was a highlight everyday! Walking distance to many sights was further than other locations in town, but our family of two adults and two teens were able to easily walk them. The walk was worth the quiet neighborhood! Highly recommend this home for your Ludington vacation!

Perfect for what we needed

House was clean and had everything you would need supplied. Close to walking downtown and right across from SS Badger. Only thing was a larger tree that blocked the view from being able to sit on back porch and watch it, but it was so close to the parks so we went there to watch. If I ever came back would stay there again.

Fabulous!

We love your place! The house is so clean and love the arrangement of it all! We walked everywhere, we saw the S.S. Badger coming and going--and what a sight every time. Love how it looks at night--beautiful. Your place is so quiet but yet, close to everything. Your help with the tv system, thank you, Bill--after he showed us what to do--we enjoyed the tv in the evening. We will be back. Your communication was on point, every time. God Bless you all.

Perfect location to come and go from. The house was sweet, neat and tidy- and Maria’s communications to us through the process were friendly and thorough. The Badger’s daily arrival and departure was something to see. Great stay! Thank you!

Absolutely perfect lakeside cottage

I just want to start by saying, our family calls this “The Michigan House” we are all so in love with this lakeside cottage. This was our first time renting a house of any kind for a family vacation and I couldn’t be happier with how it went. The process from booking to everything in between to then checking out was seamless. Maria kept in contact with us throughout and made it very clear if we needed anything not to hesitate and contact her which definitely puts a momma at ease. The vibe of this house was so relaxing and made us feel right at home. But can we mention the view of the SS Badger. STUNNING. This was our second time bringing the Badger over for family vacation and being able to watch her dock and leave definitely sealed it for us. My husband and I sat multiple nights and mornings at the high top table watching her and talking about all the wonderful memories we are and will be making with our three sons. Do not hesitate to book this place as you will not be disappointed. But you’ll have to beat me to it. We are already planning next years family vacation that I hope will include more family another stay at this cottage!!!

Great cozy home

This house was just adorable! We loved staying here. The house was immaculate. Very clean and cozy. We could have used one more bathroom, but definitely would consider staying again! Communication with the owners was top notch. Close to restaurants and bars! Many within walking distance. We love Ludington and can’t wait to come back!

LOVED the location for the 4th of July fireworks. Front row seating without the crowds found at the beach. The neighbors were a little rowdy at times, but overall it was a great experience! Would definitely rent here again!

Awesome Place to stay in Ludington

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mariners Landing, and plan to book again. The cottage is so clean, and I love the aesthetics. The linens, dishes, and other amenities are very cute. Overall, the cottage exceeded my expectations. I was very pleased upon arrival and throughout our stay. The whole family very much enjoyed watching the SS Badger depart each morning and return each evening. It was excellent being within walking distance to all of downtown Ludington’s attractions, and just a short drive to Ludington State Park and Silver Lake. I hope to get next years stay booked soon.
