A recently renovated villa in the hills of Lucca perfectly combines modern comforts, rustic charm and a panoramic position.
Perfect for enjoying the peace and tranquility of the Tuscan countryside surrounded by olive trees, consult the local village or take day trips to the various nearby towns.
The interiors are furnished with period furniture and neutral tones that highlight the beautiful texture of the wooden ceiling beams, which have been preserved and left exposed.
Villa Mammoli has a private entrance with parking and wifi service.
The villa has a large and bright living room with fireplace, a kitchen and a laundry area on the ground floor with external access, while on the upper floor there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.
Villa Mammoli also has a third bedroom with bathroom in the adjacent building which, remaining separate, makes it ideal for families who also like some personal privacy.
For fun, there's a pool, private bar, and Wi-Fi access; for quieter moments, there is space for reflection on the terrace overlooking the building just below the ancient Mammoli monastery.
An outdoor dining area has been covered by a sail to take advantage of the beautiful panoramic views over the valley, and there is also an outdoor barbecue with a wood oven.
You can consult the nearby ancient churches and the well-preserved medieval villages around, once a stopping point for tired pilgrims who traveled the Via Francigena, the famous pilgrim route that connected Northern Europe to Rome and then to the Holy Land.
A 10-minute drive takes you to Lucca, a medieval jewel of a city famous for its fortified walls, historic architecture and monuments, as well as, of course, for its wine production. Its narrow streets and beautiful squares are filled with intriguing shops, inviting cafes and great restaurants. Take a bike ride on the ramparts or take a few hours to visit a local vineyard and taste a new favorite wine. On a day trip away from your rural retreat, stroll along the sandy beaches or take a swim in the warm waters of the lively Versilia Riviera just 25 minutes away; is a unique Italian seaside experience with beach establishments that stretch for miles along the sandy coasts from bustling Viareggio to the sophisticated Forte dei Marmi. Florence, Pisa, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Montecatini Terme, the fishing villages of the Cinque Terre, the spectacular mountains of the Garfagnana and many other attractions are all within easy reach.
