Apartment with terrace and pool near Lucca

  • Discover a peaceful getaway in this countryside apartment, nestled among the rolling hills north of Lucca. With phenomenal views of vineyards and olive groves, this property combines a natural setting with proximity to city life.

The interior of the apartment has been customized by the owner, an architect, with terracotta floors and exposed beam ceilings that capture the true Tuscan atmosphere. Despite its rustic appearance, modern comforts such as TV and internet are not lacking.

Outside, you can enjoy your private covered terrace, equipped with furniture and a barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining or relaxing. The swimming pool (accessible from May 1 to October 15), shared with the owners, is beautifully situated among olive trees, ideal for a refreshing swim.

The area offers many attractions, including Lucca, just 5 miles away. Discover the rich history and culture or take a trip to Pisa and Florence, both a short drive away. The Versilia coast is also within easy reach for a day at the beach.

The house is in a wonderfully peaceful location, the pool is a dream, and the area offers plenty of things to do. The owners live in the front house and are extremely helpful and friendly. If anything wasn’t right, they were right there to help. As for the house’s amenities, it has everything you need. The only drawback, aside from this summer’s mosquito infestation, was that the house could perhaps use a deep cleaning and an inventory check of the kitchen supplies.

The apartment is just as nice as it looks on the website, and the pool is great. It’s the time of year—and therefore the temperature—that determines whether you’ll have a pleasant stay. For us, it was way too hot and humid inside, and don’t be misled by the term “air conditioning” in the description—it’s actually just a plastic-smelling climate control unit in the living room that can only lower the temperature by 6 degrees. The bedroom only has a fan, so with temperatures around 30 degrees, sleeping was very difficult for us northerners.
