Renovated Waterfront Northwoods Cabin with NEW 2024 Pontoon Boat and fire pit

"We did have a wonderful time even though we had very windy days making it a bit hard to use the pontoon boat, but overall it was a good time. The cottage was a little bit outdated, but nevertheless, clean and comfortable."

"We really enjoyed our stay! The weather changed on check-in day, and we were considering taking our UTV instead. I had several questions about the driveway, and Ellen responded right away and even sent photos to help us decide. We appreciated her quick response and willingness to help!The craftsmanship in this cabin is incredible. I especially enjoyed noticing the details in the log work and scribing, the handcrafted door pulls, along with the original window cranks and cabinet latches. The stone fireplace made it extra cozy, and arriving to find a fire already going was a great touch. The bed was comfortable, kitchen nicely appointed with everything necessary to cook and clean up. I loved using the cast iron on the propane stove. The outdoor bathhouse was warm and comfortable and shower was great.We took Kurt & Ellen’s suggestion and headed to Billy Timber’s Pub for a Wisconsin Friday night fish fry, and it hit the spot! Back at the cabin, we connected to the Wi-Fi and enjoyed a movie by the fire.We would have liked to spend more time outside, but the wind had other plans! Hopefully, we’ll get to enjoy more of the setting on another visit.Thanks, Kurt & Ellen, for sharing this special place with us!"

Modern Cabin on Pristine Lake Lucerne – A Lakeside Retreat!

"My wife and I came here for a three-day getaway and it was fantastic. We booked last minute, so we weren't sure what we would get, but it turned out great. She is on crutches, so we wanted a place that would be somewhat handicap-accessible, and this, for the most part, fit the bill.This is a beautiful property with a nice shoreline and the perfect distance from the opposite shore, It felt like a cozy lake with views of the changing trees. It had a well-kept yard and a wooded, rocky shoreline with steps right down to the water. The hot tub was nice with a view (across the driveway and yard) of the lake. It would have been nicer if it were closer, but I'm nitpicking. It is a wood-fired hot tub, so you have to have to plan early, as it takes a few hours - and an entire bundle of wood - to heat. A few sticks won't do it. You need a proper blaze.The house itself was wonderful and felt like home from the moment we opened the door. Big windows, a nice fireplace, and a well-equipped kitchen. Very cozy. The master bedroom is a bit small so we ended up putting a lot of our luggage in the bedroom next door. I was not a fan of the mattresses and pillows, but my wife liked them just fine. I brought my hammock and slept in it one night. It was fantastic.If you're looking for a cabin that is wheelchair accessible this is not quite it. It has everything you need on the first floor, but it has several interior steps and a small step onto the deck."

"What a unique and fun experience to stay in a WWII DC3! It's a beautiful setting and quite spacious. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck, grilling burgers, watching the falling leaves and listening to the birds."

"This is an ideal location for relaxing and getting away from the noise of daily living. From the time you get up in the morning to going to bed, you see the lake and all it offers. Eagles, hawks, ospreys, loons, ducks, woodpeckers, jumping fish and Rasa and Jim. Great hosts who stop by to ensure you have everything you need or to just say hi. Many guests are repeat visitors and very friendly. We will definitely be returning!"

"It was a nice place to stay. It was cozy and quiet and good size lake. Very enjoyable. A few minor areas to consider. It would be better to communicate through this booking site not texting with a personal phone to protect personal privacy. It's also better if you dump trash. Otherwise deduct the price by 50 to accommodate. Put blinds on the loft area for better sleep."
