"Clifden, Abbeyglen castle and this part of the west coast of Ireland are absolutely stunning. Don’t miss the Prosecco Welcome and the hotel owners talk on the history of the local area and Abbeyglen Castle itself. It was absolutely fascinating, occasionally humorous and brought everything to life. The owner remembered our names from the moment we were introduced. Very rare! I’ve travelled globally for business 2 out of 4 weeks for the past 15 years. I’ve stayed in some fantastic hotels around the world. Our stay at Abbeyglen castle was the most personal and best customer experience I’ve had anywhere."
"We had a fabulous stay for a special occasion. The front facing suite with balcony was blissful in the beautiful April sunshine.
All staff were excellent! They were so helpful and courteous. I would not hesitate to return and certainly hope that one day I will be able to."
"I was really disappointed in this property. The place was difficult to find, the building in ill repair (I tripped twice trying to get up the alley), carpets dirty and staff only available for new minutes. The walls were paper thin and we could hear our neighbour's toilets flushing. The shower door in our room was broken. There was no breakfast or at least we weren't told of any. Perhaps it is under new management? Skip this place."
"Staying in a suite here was a dream. Clean modern layout with unique touches like a fireplace, well stocked entertainment center, and a loaf of Doolin bread on checkout. Cafe & pub on site, featuring music the night we stayed, plus other pubs in the area. Free breakfast was wonderful. Everyone was super friendly. And easy access to the Cliffs of Moher. Highly recommend."
"This home was everything described in the listing! Dierdre was warm and helpful with questions, the property was beautiful, and very clean. Anna, who I assume is the property caretaker, even provided a surprise 65th birthday gift for my husband! The views are extraordinary, and it is a short walk to the nearest restaurant, pub, and a small grocery store. Be sure to take the walk to the beach!"
