Close in and quiet
Everyone was comfortable, the house was well equipped (garage is a huge bonus), the beds were comfortable. Having AC was nice but you won't need it-there aren't mosquitoes and the outside air was perfect. My only quibble would be that the owners really should upgrade the bed linens-these were "Amazon Basic" so, 100% polyester. Not great but an easy fix and one that definitely would line up better with the rest of what you're getting when you book this property.

Vacation with teens
A perfect spot to base our vacation from. Very cool location and neighnourhood, close to Hollywood, Universal, some great views and other key attractions. The place was very clean, well appointed and had everythingbwe needed for a great 5 night stay.

The place needs work.
The house is in need of significant maintenance. One sliding door had a broken lock and couldn't be opened. Another closet door was broken too. The owner offered to have a worker come and fix it during our visit. Would have been nicer to have it taken care of before we arrived. The downstairs bedroom is only accessible via a tight spiral staircase, or by going outside. The back patio isn't a place I'd want to spend any time currently, needs some love. It's a decent house, but we were disappointed, especially for the price.

Awkward home setup. Not very clean. Power was off for several hours , in fairness there was torrential rain. Landscaper showed up at 7:30am walking around, waking kids up, looked in windows. Location was okay but I wouldn’t rent it again. The people I dealt with renting where good.

Great Place to Stay
We had a wonderful time here! Laurie was very responsive and always got back to me right away. Check in and out were very easy and it was a great place to stay with my family. Very clean and close to lots of fun things to do.

lovely forest retreat in the center of LA
The best thing is the location, just off Laurel Canyon between Hollywood and Mullholand Dr, on a narrow street. Having access to the garage was a big plus both because of the narrow street and the rain that happened during our stay. There is a nice feeling of privacy despite the many other houses close by. The home, including the kitchen is well supplied and the few minor things we notified the owner about were dealt with immediately without disturbing us at all. Overall excellent hosts. We enjoyed very much the Pace restaurant down the street by the local convenience store.

Great weekend getaway!
The location of the property is absolutely great. The neighborhood is clean and safe and still close to everything. The house was clean, and comfortable. The owner was absolutely great at communicating with me. Easy check in and out. The only negative thing to say is the floors are creaky, so when someone walks around you can definitely here it. Other than that great stay. I would definitely book this property again.

Great Laurel Canyon Rental
This was the second time in the last seven months we rented this property. It is a great location close to attractions yet in a quiet neighborhood. We were 15 minutes away from Universal Studios. Laurie the host was again great and a delight to work with. We will rent this house again in the future.

Short But Sweet Stay in the Canyon!
First all I want to say that Laurie is an awesome host. The communication that she provided was top notch! Prompt and thorough. The house was as described. It was just the perfect set up for the five of us (2 couples, 1 single). Check-in and out was a breeze. This location puts you in the heart of Laurel Canyon and with that said a car is recommended if you want to venture down to either the valley or the many Hollywood attractions and restaurants. Of course Uber or Lyft is another option as there are plenty of drivers available at all hours. The house itself is clean and comfortable with all the basics you will need. A nice touch is shampoo and body wash are provided in each shower as was a bottle of wine upon our arrival which was a nice surprise. The Country Store is a short ride away for breakfast sandwiches, lunch and other convenient items like beer/wine etc. If you are planning a trip to the area do not hesitate to stay here. You will not be disappointed!

Carter COVID get away
After being cooped up for a year with Covid we were super excited to get out on an travel adventure. We selected this home for the outside dinning highlighted in the listing but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The area was dirty and unkept with layers of bird poop caked on not from a normal day it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Branches and leaves everywhere. A complete turn off. The home was not very clean. All of the blankets (not sheets) had big yellow staines on them which was kind of gross. There were crackers/cookies left underneath the bed from previous guests I presume? One bathroom is so small the only thing you can really use is the toilet. The shower is way too small. The sink sprays water everywhere and the shelf seemed like it would break off at any point so we were afraid to use it. We mainly used the bathroom across from it. There was only one working lightbulb out of 4 in that bathroom the light switches did not seem safe they would short out. Seemed dangerous. The toilet paper holder is missing the stick to hold it in place. The light fixture above the dinette in the kitchen is literally full of dead bugs which was over the top gross. The sheets are polyester. Really??? It’s such a shame because this house could be something special but poorly maintained is a generous understatement which steals from the charm of the home. A note of suggestion Cotton sheets make for a pleasant nights sleep were you don’t wake up soaked in sweat. Also providing cleaning spray/supplies would help guests help keep up the cleanliness during their stay :-) On the positive side our host was pleasant and very responsive. Overall we were grateful to stay but likely would not stay again.

Great spot for a homebase near Sunset Strip/West Hollywood
My friends and I loved this spot. Beds were comfortable, we had plenty of room to spread out and the garage access definitely came in handy. This is probably not a doable spot if you don't have a car, but otherwise it was a super simple trip to nearby neighborhoods. Host was very responsive throughout our stay.
