"We have stayed at the Crowne Plaza on numerous occasions after the first time when we attended a near by wedding, we have tried alternative hotels but nothing comes close. We use all the facilities and everything is perfect the rooms are spacious modern and are always clean and we will return as soon as possible. "

"The building is beautiful, filled with history. I booked a superior for the bath in the room. I was given a pleasant room in what I think is the original medieval part of the building but the bath was through a cool 'corridor' in the room. However, I spoke to the very assistive staff and they suggested a different room which I was absolutely delighted with! This room was unique, had 2 steps down to the bathroom, had a deep bath in the room, room was spacious but cosy and homely. The bed was very comfortable. The water was very hot, not scolding, but good temp. for a bath. The staff were very accommodating! Brought a radiator to the room for me, down to smallest details, even being short staffed on New Year's. They were also very attentive. Breakfast was good. Buffet of the usual English breakfast items, juice, toast with toppings and continental options. Parking just opposite. Also, lovely little village to take walks. Very pleased! Highly recommend."

"NYE dinner and stay for 2 couples. Excellent. Only issue was with some of the food. Torched mackerel starters were a few pieces of doggy mackerel buried with a load of beetroot. Baked alaskas disappointing presentation and no nuts."

"The staff were incredibly kind & helpful. I was SO well looked after. The room is gorgeous. It is indeed cosy with the most wonderful double bed - thick mattress & fabulous bedding. I slept very well. The bathroom is spacious with an excellent waterfall shower & nice thick towels"

"perfect location, lots going on but at the same time quite quiet, i guess in high season this would be different. Kaia and Bruce perfect hosted. Just a couple of suggestions, a hook on bathroom door and shelves above toilet to put towels and clothes etc on. Maybe a small drop down table in the bedroom. "
