Located directly in the heart of Borough Market. Minutes, if not seconds away from great pubs and restaurants. Not to mentioned walking distance to the Thames and all boats for tours, as well as the tube. Phenomenal location... Truly a hidden gem to stay over in the city of London.

Manager was extremely helpful as well as the other staff. The chef at the buffet was extremely helpful. He even made my husband oatmeal even though it was not included in the buffet. Also when we checked out they held our bags so that we could sightsee some more before heading back to the airport. We would definitely stay here again and the location within walking distance to numerous bars and restaurants including the Borough Market made it an excellent location.

The bad - when we first checked in to our room we were given what appeared to be a room which had not been updated for a while - on the main floor meant for handicap individuals. The bathroom sink/mirror was very very low to allow someone in a wheelchair to access the sink/mirror. The tub was covered with bars making it so a person bathing would not be able to lay down and relax. The plug in the tub did not work. The room was literally a sidewalk width right off the street and we had a working cement truck literally right outside our window. We spent one night there as we were worn out from travelling and in the morning requested a different room and the hotel obliged. The new room was considerably nicer but why put guests in the sub standard room for disabled guests in the first place. The good- great location in the centre of Southwark close to so many sights including the Burrogh Market plus The Anchor Pub. Friendly staff at reception. Great breakfast which we paid for separately from our room…lots to choose from including the most delicious pancakes ever. We were very impressed with the fellow who was running the breakfast who was quick to offer assistance and was so pleasant. We would stay here again but would request a room on the second floor or higher.
