The bed cover had some stains and there was only 2 coffee pods for a 4 night stay but I would still go again. The bed and room was comfortable and it was a great location.
The Nox hotel is really a glorified b&b. It is not a 4-star property, regardless of the state of the room.
Initially the receptionist was very polite and we checked in on time. The room however, was dark (it was in the basement) there was paint on the floor (this is because of damp causing the paint to fall off the walls).
There was an issue with the bathroom door (the bathroom door was a sliding door and it was stuck within the recess due to a leak from the shower that had made the door swell up). I asked reception to fix this problem, I also mentioned that we only had one towel and no toiletries. There was a dirty sock from a previous guest left in the wardrobe. The receptionist response was that he was the only person on shift, but he assured us that he would have the maintenance man look at this problem the next day. Suffice to say nothing was done the door wouldn’t close and the floor remains covered in paint chips for the duration of our stay (two days).
Not the worst place I’ve ever stayed but disappointing nonetheless.
I stayed here with my boyfriend as we wanted to go away for a couple of nights but didnt want to spend loads on a room as we weren't going to be there much (had a lot of activities etc planned). we both liked the room and thought it was great value for money. its location is really nice as we weren't in a busy area so was very nice to go for walks around Kensington garden/hyde park (which are really close by). there were two tube stations about 5/10 minute walk away so they were really useful as a lot of our activities were a little far to walk from the hotel. there's also a small Tesco about a 10 minute walk from the hotel which was also really useful for snacks/lunch. the street the hotel was on was really nice and quiet and close to the gardens which were lovely. the room itself was nice (very good value for money), there were a few marks on the wall and little damages done to some of the furniture (e.g the shower door) but apart from that the room was nice and got cleaned often. we had a tv in our room, a fridge, wardrobe, hot water machine, a hob, a few glasses/mugs/bowels, a sink and some coffee/tea sachets etc etc. the staff were friendly and helpful. would recommend this hotel to a friend if looking for a nice, good priced room (ours was about £40 a night for both of us) that's out of the way a little so nice and quiet. overall pleased with my say at Lancaster Gate NOX hotel :)
Amazing place to stay. I got upgraded to a little studio and the gentleman at reception was super friendly. It was perfect for me and the location was also fantastic. Very clean and had everything you needed.
The only issue was maybe the smoky smell when i first entered the room, but that wasn't so noticeable after a while. Secondly the shower was nice but the water pooled at the bottom so not draining properly. Also, the shower handle itself is very difficult to turn off when your hands are wet. I had to grab my t-shirt because it was so tight. Otherwise no major issues, and I would defo recommend!
Great place to stay on a short trip to London. The rooms are (understandably) very small but it’s ideally located next to Hyde park and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful!
Fantastic hotel, perfect location, the room was amazing we booked the jacuzzi suite and it didn’t disappoint, would defiantly Stay there again!!

Overall a good stay. Some minor points:
1) no water bottles given as mentioned
2) Coffee pods and milk were not replenished on day 2
3) Insufficient shower gel and toiletries
The building was alive with a new dawn eagerness to please post plague (free upgrade to the top floor studio suite, self conscious social exchanges, as yet unweary smiles) and the kind of disinfected cleanliness that is a given in much of the world but of freakish novelty in London hotels. Some traces of the abraded service and standards of the before times remain (the indelible smell of years of alarm-avoiding cigarette smoke in the bathroom and sash windows that cannot be closed) but generally a good place to stay in a quiet and central enough location.
Staff were very friendly. The room was good despite having a wall facing my window. It was quiet and allowed me to rest for my journey back home. I would not stay in this room for more than one night though. I would prefer a higher room with some light. For the price I paid I always happy. Facilities were very good.
The reception was not welcoming
The bedsheets were not clean the floor was dirty not enough tea bags or coffee to make with, there was no sugar ,the room was cold
We left after just 3 hours

Very difficult to find the hotel (not signposting outside the hotel. The only way I knew I was at the right place was a small sign on the buzzer at the main door). Once arrived, there was no answer on ringing the buzzer. The number provided by Hotels.com was out of service. There was a mobile number next to the buzzer for the hotel. There was also no answer there. After 10 minutes, I was let in as one of the other residents managed to find the receptionist inside the building.
No apologies from the receptionist, who was quite rude and not very welcoming/helpful. She asked for £50 deposit, which seems excessive compared to other hotels.
The actual room itself was quite small with minimal amenities available, but was adequate as I was away from the hotel for most of my stay.
Overall, hotel room was adequate. Location, facilities, check-in and hotel staff, less so. Not sure this hotel would rate as 8.6/10 as it currently does on hotels.com.

Trendy looking hotel, but not amazing
I wasn't actually sure I was in the right place as there was only a tiny sign on the plant pot outside saying hotel name. I had some issues the first night,my room was on the ground floor, it was very noisy, broken lock on window and very worn dirty chair. The exit to the hotel was opposite my room doorbso could hear people going out all the time. I emailed the reception, who gave me a different for the rest of my stay on a different floor, which was clean, modern and much quieter. Not very comfortable bed, lovely reception area, but only saw a glimpse of it during check in. I think a little more care needs to be taken outside as there were about 100 cigarette end outside in a little courtyard area.
Modern room, small but functional. The bed was tiny, seemed to be in between a single and a double which alongside the very soft pillows meant for an uncomfortable night.
Good location
Would stay against if could get a king/queen bed
