I by chance happened upon this home stay because I needed to be in the Orpington area, it sounded so much more welcoming than a travel lodge. Pat was there to meet and greet, all was warm and comfortable, a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Easy to park and Pat willing to help and advise on the area. Would definitely recommend.

Old, tired and badly maintained

We were staying for one night as it was a convenient location but the accommodation was very poor. The advertising was for En-suite rooms but this was false and you have to share bathrooms and toilet. The cottage we stayed in was old, tired and badly maintained. These are advertised as homestay, because it does feel like you are in someone's house as opposed to a B&B. The owner was pleasant and helpful but it is better to stay at the Premier Inn even though it is double the price it is 10 times better.

Very unprofessional and stressful experience We had a very disappointing experience. Just 15 minutes before our scheduled arrival, the staff contacted us and asked us to go to a different property, claiming it would be better than the one we originally booked. We drove to the new postcode, but couldn’t find the exact address. Then they told us to go back to the original address, where someone met us and took us to yet another property. The entire process was confusing, disorganized, and left us feeling very unsafe. The property we were taken to was not what we had booked, and we decided to leave within 30 minutes. It was a stressful and unsettling experience, and we would not recommend it.

Inside the property itself the stay was peaceful and nice. Spoke to the owner about not having coffee in the room and none on site, went to Costa the 2 days. Didn't opt for the meals at the property so no comment about that. Overall very nice room and informative host.

I stayed in the Love & Peace cottage. I initially was only staying a few days, but resulted in staying 3 weeks due to my father's health. Pat, the owner, was so welcoming and then so accommodating with the uncertainty of my length of stay. Going through a rollercoaster of emotions, Pat always made sure I was ok. The cottage was immensely clean. Facilities were suitable for a 3 week stay! It really did feel like a home from home when I came back from the hospital each day. If you give respect, peace & love, you get it returned in abundance. Thank you Pat. I will return, but hopefully in better circumstances ❤️
