Good budget hotel but despite saying the rooms where soundproof we could hear the underground clearly in our room. No toiletries and only 1 bath towel each. No hand towels or bath mats where provided. Nice breakfast with a selection of freshly cooked eggs.

This was a terrible stay, and certainly one of the worst experiences I've had compared to other hotels. It was expensive—almost £150. If I paid this amount in Tokyo, I could stay in a much cleaner room with air conditioning instead of just a fan. There were no amenities at all—no toothbrush, shampoo, soap, or slippers—which are standard in any Tokyo hotel. Furthermore, there was no elevator, making it extremely difficult for me to carry my luggage up to the fourth floor.

The room was clean enough, though rather shabby, as the room is showing its age. Carpet was stained. Bed clean and fairly comfortable, but not luxurious. Kettle and tea, coffee, etc. were provided. No extras other than soap and towels. It's very near to Paddington Station, so be prepared for the rumble iand rattle. I found this rather comforting in a strange way, but some might find this annoying. Front desk staff were courteous when directly questioned, but not forthcoming. The first desk clerk did, however, suggest a first floor room when he saw I am a senior with a large suitcase, which I appreciated. Breakfast was very basic Continental pastries and cereal, with no allowances for dietary restrictions like dairy free milk. No fruit was a disappointment. The friendly young lady on the first morning prepared eggs and other dishes for those who asked. The second morning was a bit difficult, as the male server didn't seem to understand English well, though he was polite. It was very basic and safe for a couple of nights, but I don't think I will stay there again as it turned out not to be a particularly convenient location for me. Excellent pizza joint across the road, also a Greek cafe with the best hummus I've eaten in a long time.

No bathroom door but a shower curtain is used. Shower is next to the toilet and the whole bathroom is really mini. Furniture is old and dated but equipped with a rather new heater. Breakfast is very basic.

Courteous staff, great location, fabulous price for central London. I stayed in a basement room where the soundtrack of (what I assume was) the nearby underground trains at Paddington was clearly audible... I would sleep through a hurricane but I reckon that might have been worthy of a mention for most guests. Oh, and the TV didn't work...

BILLEDERNE OG HOTELLET ER TO FORSKELLIGE TING. * Værelset var ekstremt småt, toilettet kunne man kun lige presse sig ind til, badet var næsten ovenpå toilettet, og dog uden nogen form for udluftning. * Rigtig sødt personale * Morgenmaden var i et lille mørkt rum med klistrede borde. Maden levede langt fra op til billederne herinde, eller det menukort man fik. * 10/10 placering!!!!

Horrible hotel, room and staff. Worst hotel experience ever! Got a room in the basement and it was impossible to sleep there. The whole room was shaking as the metro was running straight under the building. It was shaking as much as even the lights where blinking on and off. This was running up until 0130 in the morning. Then started around 5 again. In addition the room was dirty, old and in a horrible condition. The bed was supported by loose wooden bricks under it. I asked for a change of room, but staff didn't want to help. Also asked for a refund, but staff answered ignorant and impolite back and told me that the shaking is something that is in the hotel event up to the 4th floor. In other words, STAY AWAY from this hotel. You will not get any sleep in here, and you can find same price hotels near by that actually offers kind polite staff, clean rooms and a place where you actually can sleep.
