We had very high hopes about this rental based on the photos and description. And in the end, our experience was very positive. But it started off a bit rocky.
First, we were met with a broken lift for a sixth floor flat. We had verified there would be a lift before we rented the unit. We had no intentions of carrying our luggage up 6 stories. But we did.
With the lift not working, our after hours check in directions lost there reference point, so it wasn’t quite as easy as we expected. A phone call to the agent, however, walked us through the check in and we were in good shape. We learned later, from building residents who carry luggage, that the lift is ongoing problem.
The view of London was everything we hoped it would be ... just beautiful. The furnishings were as hoped although they were a bit more worn than we observed in the photographs and there was little closet space, none in the second bedroom.
The only truly disappointing thing about the flat was the dim lighting in the living/dining area. It was difficult to do much after dark. Otherwise, we found the flat to be very enjoyable.
The walk to the London Bridge tube stop was about 15 minutes, probably as far as we would want it to be for multiple daily trips and for our age bracket. But we felt safe and there were many businesses along the walk.
All in all, a very nice stay. The agent had no direct control over the lift repairs, but it certainly marred our stay from one that might have been rated outstanding.
