Outstanding Service & Good Location

Lovely hotel. Outstanding Staff. Went well above normal to make sure my stay was great. Above and Beyond Service. Recommend and will stay there next time in town.

Worst Hotel Ever

no its a hotel, its old house bad food bad rooms. No hot water and the entire hotel was very dirty.

Nice colonial hotel.

The hotel is family owned and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Includes a full breakfast, not cheap bread and jelly like most hotels' continental breakfast. The room was very small and the hot water was hit and miss. I felt it was a bit over priced.

Don't go there

The hotel is inconveniently located; the owner smells more money if you are an American. The "honeymoon suite" was a joke. Very small room, dirty bathroom. I would not stay there again under any circumstances.

Hotel qui semble en arrivant sympa par sa deco. Excepte le hall d entree tout est tres tres sale. Chambre exigue et meme pas nettoyee le 1er jour de notre arrivee. Douche et lavabo bouches. Moutons et papiers sous le lit, etc... Petit dejeuner execrable et mentalite du proprietaire incomprehensible. Excentre, oblige de prendre un taxi pour le centre ville. Paiement cash et sans facture.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The oldest son speaks very good English, the mother and father are very kind hearted people. Even though there was a language barrier between us. I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go. I do believe they have a shuttle service, but I like walking and exploring. If I ever go back to Loja I would stay here again. For $25 you can't go wrong

Great place if you like ice showers!

Hotel is beautiful. Met the family who happened to be leaving town, and leaving the hotel to the children to run. Eldest son spoke some English, but could do nothing about the lack of hot water. There is NO WI-FI, despite what you are told. 2 very old computers with windows xp, no printer and command keys non-functional (Spanish keyboards are different)

A very personable, genuine hotel.

This hotel is very cozy with super friendly and accommodating staff, at a great price and very near to the shopping centers in Loja, Ecuador.

Good, inexpensive hotel in Guayaquil

We were impressed by the level of service provided this inexpensive hotel. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and the check-in process was quick and easy. Our room was neat and clean. The king sized bed took up most of the room but there was space for a small desk, a chest of drawers and an air conditioner that worked well! The private bathroom was clean and tidy with adequate soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels and toilet paper. The free wi-fi worked well. The free continental breakfast featured orange juice, coffee (instant) or tea and a fresh roll with two slices of cheese. The hotel did not have a restaurant but there were several adequate restaurants withing a few blocks.

A hidden gem

We stayed at the Jardines del Río Hotel in Loja for three nights. This is a family owned and operated hotel. The oldest son, Cristain, speaks English quite well and was very helpful. The breakfasts that were included were excellent with fruit, tree tomato juice, coffee or tea, fresh rolls and scrambled eggs. Service in the restaurant at supper was very slow but the food was reasonably priced and tasty because the food was freshly prepared.
