「We booked this hotel for 1 night stay over New year’s eve. Found there was a disconnect between Expedia booking and the hotel reservations. Expedia booking was confirmed but when I called hotel to make a room request they did not recieve any email or confirmation from Expedia. 「The hotel is dated. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. We had booked an extra bed and was not provided a pillow. The bathroom was not clean. We were meant to stay for two nights and checked out after the first night. The breakfast is substandard. The hotel seems short staffed—when we checked out it was the bellhop that did the processing of the paperwork and not the reception staff and this was around 9am. 「The Hotel deserves 5 stars coz of location, cleanliness, delicious freshly prepared food from their kitchen, and friendly staff who are also very accommodating. However, guests are inconvenienced due to 1) no desk in room. I was told by reception that desks are available in superior rooms and not in basic rooms. 「The good - the room size is huge, the staff at the restaurant were very courteous and provided service with a smile. Please ensure to ask room on higher floors. From start the experience wasn't good. Whlist making the booking we opted for breakfast and dinner included in our tariff. 「The hotel is falsely advertised, the view outside was of a wall, the bed was stiff, limited hot water, there was no mini bar as advertised, the curtains didn’t little to block out the light, little toilet paper, the aircon droned on humming the whole time, the walls are thin so you can hear other peoples conversations, showers, phones ringing and people walking up and down stairs. The garden part of the hotel was only for three cottages, the rest concrete. Very expensive compared to other places...
