"We stayed in the 2 bedroom Mackenzie apartment and it was definitely a large and fairly luxurious room. The claw foot tub in the primary bathroom was a highlight. It's worth a visit if you're looking for something unique and quiet with great views. We had dinner in the dining room, which was quite good, with slightly above average prices. The staff were attentive and present to address any questions or concerns. The only thing I would note is we also booked a 2nd room in the family suite that was for 2 adults and 2 kids, but it only had 1 queen bed and a small twin pullout. Overall, it was a nice stay and fun to experience staying in a Castle in Scotland."

"The evening and Saturday staff were wonderful. Very pleasant, friendly and funny. When we arrived Friday morning, the young woman didn't seem happy to be working, so that is why I didn't give staff a 5, she was a bit negative and seemed to be put off by any questions we had. She also didn't ask if we needed anywhere safe to store our computers, where as the evening and Saturday staff asked us without me inquiring. The room was nice with a wonderful view, it was just old and a little run down. I would have liked the room to be a little better up kept. The breakfast was great, very delicious and had a great variety. The only down fall was one person supporting resupplying anyting the breakfast area had to offer, food, coffee, water, ect. We did not go into the bar."
