My husband and I were so well looked after here. The manager went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Food was just perfection, tasted like a home cooked meal and was pure comfort. The facilities were clean and well presented. If we ever have the pleasure of returning to Scotland we will be going out of our way to stay here again.

The contact number on the website leaves you unanswered, so there is no way to contact them before your booking Arrives at hotel before check in and there is no members of staff apart from 2 cleaners. There is 2 numbers on the front desk for call if there is no staff, however again, there was no answer. Eventually the manager arrived rubbing his eyes Poor service from what I can only assume to be the manager. Sighed at every question asked and made us feel like an inconvenience because we arrived early. There is a storm outside and we asked if we could sit inside to wait for check in, and again, the manager sighed and said we could sit at the chairs at the front door. We actually left instead because of the way he made us feel, and sat outside in the car during a storm. We arrived again at 3:50 to check in as this "manager" said check in was between 3pm and 4. No answer at the front desk again. We catch a cleaner and ask them for this man to check us in. He refused to come down stairs and told the cleaner we would need to wait another 10 minutes. The next morning, once again, no staff for breakfast. The breakfast was extremely poor poor quality. The options are ridiculously limited as is clearly served as a first come basis. If you are entering any later than 8am then everything is gone. We had a dog and wanted to clarify if we could sit inside so we called the number at the desk. This same manager answered and told us he would be right down. No one showed and left.

The hotel is pretty run-down. The room was clean, the TV worked but the beds were very narrow and uncomfortable. The toilet was clean, and there were towels, but again it was very small (shower, no bath).The breakfast in the morning was adequate, but with a bus load of Chinese tourists, the single person at breakfast was overrun. I would not recommend it

Basic, clean, comfortable 1 night stay.

The location was great for the station. The check in was via the bar and the man was very friendly and helpful. He appeared to be working alone. The hotel itself although clean and comfortable was in desperate need of updating and maintenance - the gutters were great for the grass! Didn't try the shower or the breakfast. Ok for 1 night.

Would definitely stay again

The room was clean on arrival although a little tired in places mainly in the shower area. The bed was amazingly comfortable giving a great night sleep. The staff are polite, friendly and very willing to help in anyway they can

Great staff, shame about the hotel.

Ample parking, friendly staff. Very dated and definitely not the best sleep ive had, bed was solid and creaky floorboards above me didnt help matters. Clean bed linen and fresh towels, breakfast was reasonable but little choice either hot or cold. Bar also called last orders at 20:30.

Decent hotel at a good price.

Good parking available onsite, a friendly welcome at reception, had expected a restaurant in the hotel, but was advised of local eateries by the guy on reception, which helped. Our room was compact but for one night it was fine, thick white towels and soap/shampoo supplied too. Plenty of hot water. Would stay again. We ate at the India Cafe, a 3 min walk and can highly recommend.

Staff were friendly enough, but when I went for a shower there was no hot water and no-one in the reception area to speak to about this - not ideal when you have been working all day

Our one night stay here was good in general. Not much interaction with staff. Entry to reception through the main front door proved difficult as entry was only via key card which you dont have until you have checked in. Entry through the bar to reception. The hotel was clean and food was very good.

En gang var nok

Ankom meget sent pga trafik kaos, forsøgte at ringe til dem i 2 timer men ingen respons. Skulle tjekke ind inden kl 20, men kom først 21-15 Heldigvis var der nogen i baren ved siden af, som blev drevet af samme familie Så vi fik alligevel tjekket ind. Værelset meget lille og slidt, sengen meget smal, ikke det vi kalder en dobbeltseng Morgenmaden, det var det basale, heller ikke mere Ikke et hotel vi umiddelbart kommer til at vælge igen
