Earth House Scotland - Stunning Historic Fishing Lodge on the River Spey

"My family and I stayed at Earth House for a week long vacation in Scotland. The property is even more breathtaking than in the photos and videos. Our group included 15 people from age 6 to 74 and every one of us agreed that it was one of the most amazing locations ever visited. The house maintains a rustic charm while having the most up to date bathrooms, kitchen and appliances. We woke up to the sun rising over the Highlands with sheep baa-ing from the nearby farm. Aviemore was a quick drive away and provided running and hiking trails, coffee shops, restaurants and plenty of activities for the children. Day trips to Inverness and Urquart Castle were very easy. At Salem's recommendation, we hired Pauline, owner of Polipocketseats, to cook for the family. Her food was delicious and accomodated the many different tastes and preferences of our group. We ended each day as a family with tea by the fireplace.Salem was extremely helpful during our stay and answered all questions we had about the house and touring around Scotland. We miss the house already and I highly recommend Earth House to others!"

"Lovely property well situated just outside Aviemore. Holiday Park is lovely and well maintained and the chalet probably had the best view in the park! Well appointed and spacious, with excellent facilities and a great outside area. Phone signal in the area isn't the best and the WiFi sometimes is a little tempremental. We had plenty of room and would love to have stayed longer. Couple of great restaurants nearby and lots of walking paths. 10 mins by car from Aviemore and more amenities and shops. Would love to come back at some point."

"Boat of Garten is a perfect holiday location but that’s another story. The property gets my 5 stars for a number of reasons such as back gate gets you directly into the woods for dog trips and children adventures. The garden is huge but not intended to be a ‘look but don’t touch’ place. Run around as much as you like chasing screaming children. And it’s big. There’s a large common area where everyone can gather or sit out on the balcony and look at the stunning highlands whilst sipping on a large glass of something. I don’t really want to go through everything there is as it would be a small novel and i am not part of the sales team so i will stop the guided tour. The property is maybe showing its age a bit in places but this does not detract from being a great place to holiday for big families (though I am not a fan of the stylish sink that was in our en-suite or am I being picky). Last year I gave 5 stars however the best indicator of our approval is to say that we are already booked up for next (our third) year. Just back and looking forward to next year’s trip. Did I mention the hot tub?"

"This was our third trip to Scotland, our first to this area and we loved it. We will be back.The property itself is excellent, even better than the photos. It’s large, comfortable, well laid out and equipped, spotlessly clean and in an amazing location. I would highly recommend this property and the owner, whose communication was timely and clear. "We really enjoyed our stay at Heather's cottage. The house was clean, welcoming and perfect for us. The dog loved the garden. It was an ideal location to visit the sights of the Cairngorms. We would be happy to return again and hope to do so next year!"
