"Property was very spacious, it was nice having an extra living space/games room for the kids to play on their console. Very clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Lovely surroundings and close to Snowdon. Quiet, even though on a reasonably busy road. The only issues were that the tv had an annoying blue spot in the middle of the screen, the WiFi didn’t reach to the far end of the building where downstairs bedrooms are but 4G signal was good. 8/10 Good

"A friendly welcome although despite checking in online we still had to repeat the process at reception. The parking instructions had changed since we had made the booking only a few days earlier so we had to move the car. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a lovely welcome note which was a nice touch. The shower curtain bracket was broken in the en-suite which we reported to reception although the curtain could still be used. There was plenty of hot water however, the water pressure from the shower was weak so it took awhile to rinse off. The extractor fan does run on for a very long time. Thankfully we do not need the tv as reception was very poor despite the Amazon firestick. The evening meal was fine but breakfast with the full Welsh was variable and some components were too dried out e.g. bacon, black pudding. All the staff were helpful and readily available even as they were clearly very busy."

"Car park was fully open contrary to several emails stating it was closed prior to our stay which almost caused me to cancel. Staff were lovely/ really friendly. Remote for tv was missing but was found and returned. (Unfortunately batteries were dead rendering it useless). Lovely bar area and food was really tasty. Really good stay."

"Lion Hotel has everything we required for our weeks stay. An excellent varied evening menu offering choices of both Indian and English dishes. The buffet breakfast offered all the usual fair which the staff constantly kept topped up. Our double room was spacious with clean en-suite facilities. All the hotel staff were pleasant and willing to help you in anyway they could. The bottom line is, yes we would be happy to stay at The Lion Hotel again."
