We come to Syracuse often and this was by far, not an ideal place to stay. Let me begin by saying the staff is very nice, every person on staff we encountered was friendly. The hotel amenities are much to be desired. Rooms are not standard with microwave, fridge, or coffee maker. The bathroom was designed in a most inconvenient manner, with the toilet angled to make room for the door to open and close. This is not an ideal situation for someone with a larger stature. The air conditioner in the room was not working, there was a portable ac unit in leu. One of the reasons for choosing to stay was the pool. It was not updated in their website they were undergoing renovations and the pool is closed. Our room was not tuned down which left us without toilet paper. Granted any requests from the front desk were dealt with expeditiously, however, the garbage was needing to be emptied. The map in the room did not display locations for the ice machine, fitness center, or pool. The hot breakfast seemed to be only Available during the weekdays. Breakfast ran from 7a-10am. The options were quite nice, scrambled eggs, bacon, skillet potatoes, pancakes, along with bagels, toast, cereals, pop tarts, and fruit. Refilling the hot breakfast buffet was not efficient. Leaving people coming down after 8:30 with mostly cold breakfast options. Three out of the four were refilled past 9:30 and the bacon was not refilled at all. The weekends, there are not hot breakfast option.

Place is very old…Lobby is nice, goes down hill from there…rooms are old, tv doesn’t get local channels, door doesn’t close unless you slam it hard, heat does not work, bathtub drain did not drain properly so had to be quick if you take a shower…bathroom is small and cramped…in summary if you can afford to stay elsewhere…do it

The sink was clogged and leaked underneath. Did not get the room cleaned once. Why we were there when we asked why they said we needed to ask for it never heard of that as long as the sign that says, Do Not Disturb is not on the door you're supposed to clean the room, and there's a sign that says, could you do a service to the room? They didn't read the sign obviously. Because they still didn't clean the room. We had three rooms booked with this hotel.Me and my family and all of us had a terrible stay

I am hoping it will be resolved but I was doubled charged. Very nosey in the second floor and overhead another customer wanting to see the rooms and the front desk stated the issues was only on the 2nd and 4th floor.

When i first got there my toilet seat was broken , i reported it as soon as i got there then again the next morning. I asked for sheets and blankets 2 days ago and never received them . I asked for a wheelchair they said they didnt have one and the day before we had used it . This is a horrible place to stay with very lazy staff . The MANAGER said she couldnt leave the desk to get new blankets and sheets due to a security policy but there was another person there . Also they've left the desk unattended before to go out to the parking lot to smoke.

I think they're doing their best in a facility that is in rather desperate need of some repair and upgrade. If WiFi is important to you, don't stay there! The signal was so weak I couldn't even connect.

HVAC was and had been broken for 2 months - portable AC unit that was not vented in king size bed room so given another room 2 double beds with the portable hooked up but as it got cold at night, no heat. Towels smelled funny and since AC unit vented out window and room near highway, was noisy. Free breakfast was minimal as “short staffed”. Never would stay there again. Not a 7 good rating as expedia indicated on their website

This property suited our needs perfectly. Though outdated, the room and facilities were very clean. The bed was also super comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

We got in quite late driving from Toronto. Disappointed by how run down and outdated hotel is. Slept well however only to find out in the morning after our son showered, bathtub drain was clogged. Quite gross to be in a pool of water up to your calve area. Too late to complain since we had a 7am start to drive to NYC. Very disappointed since 3/4 us couldn't shower.

Hotel needs a complete overhaul, and there’s no outside lighting. It looks like an abandoned property. The rooms are very outdated.

Checked in on Friday and checked out on Monday morning. Never had our bed sheets changed nor did we ever get clean towels the entire 3 days!!!!! Had to use the same dirty and wet towels for all three days!!!! Maids never entered our room once the entire stay. When checking out desk person said they were under staffed because all the maids was quitting. Said I should come to desk every day with old towels and sheets and ask for new ones, and then go do everything myself because they are understaffed. Absolutely ridiculous at check in too. They have me a complimentary 1PM check in on Friday but didn’t actually check me in until 3PM. Desk lady said rooms were not ready because they were understaffed with maids. It was a horrible experience and they refused to lower my bill at checkout. Never again!!!! Expedia should refund me a portion of the bill for the terrible experience! How Expedia can recommend this hotel I’ll never know!!

This was a very reasonably priced option in the Syracuse University area. The staff was very friendly and responsive. It looks like they are renovating and starting to update rooms to improve the experience.

et the standards I expected. The facilities were noticeably dirty, and there was a clear shortage of staff to handle room cleaning. During my 2 nights stay, my room was not cleaned, and the towels were never replaced. This lack of basic housekeeping service was very inconvenient.
