Late night bash meant I couldn't crash.
Checked in to the premises for an overnight stay. We were met by a tall young woman who was very welcoming and friendly and I was invited to complete details into a machine, then asked to pay the cost of the accommodation there and then. I explained that I had already done so with Hotels.com.Our room was situated over the bar area.
The room was an adequate clean twin bedded space. Two large towels had been provided (not bath sized) that carried the odour of being dried inside and my partner remarked that they were rather "stinky". there was tea and coffee making equipment, so two cups and saucers were provided but no tumblers for cold drinks and no drinking water provided, either of tap or bottled.
There was a fridge which had not been cleaned on the interior and in the presented condition I would not have chosen to use it.
The "security door" to the exterior of the property was anything but and on our entry and egress through this door had been left open to all as the closing mechanism appeared to be faulty.
The rooms (over six in total) appeared to be serviced by one bathroom. Although it was in a good standard of cleanliness; it had bath mats which were wet from previous users. Perhaps it would have been more hygienic to provide individual bath / shower cloths.
I had difficulty in getting to sleep as the noise and belting music from the bar continued until 2am, after which at least 2 revellers stayed in the porch are shouting in an intoxicated manner.
