The stairs up to the apartment were terrible and the noise coming from construction sites in front and on the side of the building was very loud and bothersome

Great location and views

We stayed here for two nights with our young kids, mostly as a place to sleep and not necessarily hang out. The apartment was in a great location in Alfama. Check-in was easy with door codes. Great views from the balconies. The apartment was clean (though heads up that the ceilings are pitched, so the bathroom is very cramped if you're tall!). The only issues we had were that the elevator didn't work, so it was a 4-story walk-up with luggage, and the couch was very uncomfortable so wasn't a spot we'd want to hang out and relax. We were out exploring all day, so wasn't a huge problem, but something to consider if you're staying longer. One thing to note depending on the time of year you travel is that there's no air conditioning in the unit. However, there were fans in the bedrooms and a strong breeze when all the balcony doors were open, so was relatively comfortable even in 90*F / 32*C heat!

Alfama Fun

Great location and a clean apartment. There is some construction underway at the neighboring properties, but it didn't impact us much. The balconies offer a nice views and the ability to hear all the great music from the neighborhood.

Disappointing!!

Extremely disappointing at all. Balcony could not be used due to heavy construction works. Appartment quite dirty, mould on windows inside. Most balcony doors not working properly. Furniture of cheapest quality. No keys handed over, although discussed with agency via Whatsapp after check-in. Could not lock appartment doors, neither from inside nor outside. Main house door not working properly, standing open etc. Bathroom not as described. Badly soundproofed, could hear neighbours of other departments talking.
