Staff were very friendly and location was excellent. There was a plumbing issue on the first night but was efficiently sorted by the next day and communication was very easy.
The room and the bathroom were clean. Comfy beds. Shutters on the windows and curtains to block the lights at night. Very quiet.
Friendly and welcoming receptionist, Denise.
Excellent location with supermarket, restaurants and transportation just a block away. this property has been remodeled so the room was modern and very clean and quiet at night. The only problem was that the kitchen is still being remodeled so there was no breakfast available, but there was a refrigerator and room to eat in the alcove, so Denise, the manager, was helpful and gave me a carafe to boil water and some dishes and utensils so I could manage to eat in the room. She was also helpful about getting around and transportation to the airport.
Perfect location for a visit to Lisbon. Our flight arrived very early in the morning and Denise made special arrangements to have our room ready early and get us checked into our room way before regular check in just to help us out.
Getting to and from the property was very easy because it was in a great location. The staff were very nice and we could leave our bags there before check in. It was very clean and there was a waterfall shower head which I greatly enjoyed.
They cleaned and made the bed every day. The only downside is that it did get humid sometimes especially since you have to take the key with you when you leave during the day.
Excellent location, safe and quiet, very well converted/maintained building with efficient lift. Great shower and spacious balcony. Extremely clean. Fridge provided but no kettle - recommend bringing travel kettle; there are tea/coffee making facilities, but they’re on the ground floor so not to hand in your room. Denise who runs it is very kind.
I never worked out how to operate the safe but I’m sure she would have explained if I’d asked her!
Everything about this property was good, except an incident with the cleaning staff, we asked for no service to our room, but they didn’t get the message, we were told they just swapped our towels out. When we got back to the room later at night (11pm) we had zero towels to shower. We messaged the manager right away, they told us the staff would bring towel by 9-930am, but we needed them earlier as we had a day trip planned. They got us the towel in just enough time to shower and leave for our trip. Otherwise, the location was in an excellent area with the best restaurant just around the corner!!
I enjoyed how the hotel was small and had a certain charm to it. Although that did make it hard for me to find the place, because I was not aware that there was no huge roof, awning, or canopy out front. My cab driver refused to take me right to the hotel because he said it would be hard for him to get around. So I had lots of trouble walking and trying to find it. Not just for the reason listed above: the street numbers did not make sense. They did not always go up or down in a logical manner. I didn't like how check-in was only available up to 6:00 at night and that there was no communication with staff after that, except by Whatsapp and only up to 11 p.m. That said, most of the time they were very helpful to me when I asked questions on this app. Most of the time, but not all the time. The one staff member I did check in with, was very helpful. I was fully prepared to try to speak Portuguese, even though my Portuguese is not very good, but she spoke English very well and seemingly with no accent. Although my room was small, I loved the view I had from my porch that looked out over the street. And really, the room had pretty much everything I needed. I also liked that I had a lot of options to walk to things from this location. Although I will admit, Expedia, with whom I booked, did tell me that I was close to a lot of things. I liked their pretty sign out front, and I enjoyed that in a small way, it seemed more like a house than a hotel.
Great location. Front desk was really nice about letting us store our bags after check-out. They are responsive and communicate well. FYI, no iron. Would stay here again!
