The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon

"I was a little confused and surprised about having my room cleaned daily. We have to request for room cleaning service if we want our room cleaned at the front desk. Also, there was a bar code in our room to tip the cleaners daily. I think this is messed up, especially during our check-in, they didn’t mention this request to us."

"The only reason to stay here for anyone should be the location within the Grand Canyon park! Otherwise, please stay away and do yourself a favor by staying in much better and yet cheaper or similar hotels in the Grand Canyon Village area, especially with kids. Following review is based on my staying in the east building of their lodge with my family in May 2026 for one night for which I paid ~ $340. First, it is unacceptable that they do not have a water dispenser in the room or even with in in the building. Second, it is inconvenient that they don’t have microwave in the room. The breakfast isn’t even included in above price and even if it was, it would likely not be edible based on the horrible reviews of the food on Google Maps. It any case, they charge $20 per adult and I think about $14 per child for their not even average breakfast from what I can tell. The staff I interacted with was not much helpful in general. For example, she did not even know the GPS address after particular building unit in the east side building I was supposed to go while that GPS address was already there on Google Maps! The room itself was decent, but suddenly matches their two star Hotel rating and was good enough for one night sleep but nothing more than that"

"Very clean and comfortable hotel with super nice staff. We stayed in the main hotel section with two adjoining rooms. It was quiet, up to date, and good A/C. Nice coffee, tea, and hot cocoa bar in lobby. Really nice property and convenient to Grand Canyon."

"Short drive to the park or you can take the shuttle that stops a short walk away. On check in we were updated to a suite. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with a 10 percent discount for guests. The Room was clean when we returned from the park. Overall, good value."

"Liked the living area which had seating & views of the Canyon. Location was nice. There is no front desk, had vending machines & ice & nice living area. Our room was not very clean. Bathroom was not clean & had dirty washcloth hanging on shower rod. At that point, cleanliness of the entire room was questionable. TV was snowy & presented with static. Called number given at check in to report issues but no one at front desk answered on a couple of different occasions- let phone ring 10-15 minutes each time. Told manager where you checked in & out which is next door in a different hotel at checkout. He was apologetic & said he’d notify Expedia & work out a partial refund. Hopefully the manager & Expedia will compensate. I have to follow up with this as I have not heard from either party. We only stayed one night so we were trying to enjoy the views as much as possible."

"This property is ideally located right outside the Grand Canyon NP entrance. They have a lot of resort activities aimed at families to keep your kids busy during the stay. An on-site Starbucks, restaurant, helpful staff, and convenient location make this a great pick if you are visiting the Grand Canyon."
