"Good parking Check out at 10 am is too early for travelers Breakfast poor: we only got a bottle of milk no juice in the refrigerator. Our room has no air conditioner , has a fan instead. Disappointed ,room doesn’t look anything like pictures shown Windows has no screen, so when we open to get fresh air, bugs flown in. Fortunately we only stay one night otherwise I wouldn’t stay longer."

"We had a fantastic stay at this lovely home in Val de Loire. The house stayed cool despite the July heat, and the fenced garden was perfect for our two dogs. Janet has thought of everything, making it a peaceful and comfortable retreat. We can't wait to return!"

"Wonderful week of holiday at the Walnut Lodge with our dog. The owner, Lisa, was very friendly and helpful, giving us many adresses to try. We had a lovely week enjoying the house and surroundings with our dog."

"We had a wonderful holiday in this spacious gite. The pool was a big hit with the children and a perfect escape from the heat ! The location is set in acres of stunning scenery, yet you aren’t far from bakeries, butchers and supermarkets etc.. Local wine and produce is very good value and Relais Routiers close to the gite were superb for lunch, 4 courses including wine for just €13. "This is truely a splendid location to enjoy the Brenne's amazing rich nature: red deer, wild boar, red fox, a great number of bird species. They can all be seen around the house and in the etang and forest in the 'backgarden' of the beautiful house."

"This really is a Narnia house- the entrance is somewhat deceptive because once you get inside it is quite magical. Not only has the owner, Nancy, gathered together a lot of fascinating French antiques, but it is also a very comfortable house with every modern appliance you can think of. We didn’t use the garden much as we had a lot of rain but it is pretty, enclosed and safe for our dog. The village is within easy walking distance and has a baker!
