「Had a wonderful stay at Anchorage, it’s such a fantastic location. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Great communication from the hosts and everything went very smoothly in terms of checking in/checking out. Would definitely recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.」

「A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again.」

「Great location, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, nice toiletries and great selection of coffee and teas. Great food and drinks available onsite. Ideas for improvement- larger fridge, the fridge is tiny - other than the free water that is provided you can’t fit anything more in there. Robes would be nice as well as body lotion or hand cream in the bathroom.」

「When I can I always use the holiday inn express. Poole was just as normal, I don’t need entertaining swimming pools saunas spas etc Nice comfortable clean room just got the best pillows and bedding, And just a superb breakfast. Thank you all in Poole well done.」

「Huge bathroom. No towel rail by the basins every time wash hands had to drip water to a rail 5 feet away. And incredibly No Shower. Huge bath with side taps but no facility to wash and rinse hair. Come on Greene King its 2026 not 1826.」

「Breakfast is average and good parking facilities. Good food pub and eat but stay was terrible with boiling hot room stay they provided a single table fan for a family of four and the windows weren’t able to be opened with the smell off the dusty carpets overall can’t recommend for a family stay」

「Bit of an issue getting into the property as we arrived quite late but thought the pub would still be open. Sorted out quickly without a problem though. Room was really good, comfortable, clean with all we needed for a good night's sleep. Owner seems to have considered what was required really well. Breakfast was excellent & catered for all tastes. Staff friendly & helpful. Would stay again.」

「There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark.」

「Room was clean and airy, though a bit close to street noise. Staff were personable and helpful and our meals were superb.」

「Fabulous modern Miami themed hotel the beds are super comfortable and Aircon which is very much needed this weekend. The staff was so friendly and helpful proper service with a smile and all very engaging. Fabulous view of the sea and a gorgeous pool. My only criticism was filling the kettle in the modern sink difficult !」
