"This is probably my favourite hotel in Ireland. It has a great local feel and is utterly unpretentious. It seems to be employing lots of young local people and training them for employment in hospitality. Breakfast and coffee are excellent. Bedrooms and showers are great. Staff are lovely and helpful. Property and location are very convenient for Dundalk,Carlingford,Greenore and Newry. Love it"

"We loved our stay at Burmese Castle! What especially stood out where the castle grounds, including beautiful gardens and even a hedge maze which the kids loved. I so enjoyed walking around the grounds in the evening time, enjoying all of the flowers and hidden surprises. Surprises. The accommodations were quite comfortable, though there was a little bit of noise from the pipes in some of the bedrooms."

"This location was super nice and easily accommodated our party of 6. The entire place was so clean & super cute, especially the kitchen. After our long days of exploring Ireland, we were so happy to have the hot tub to come back to and just relax with a glass of wine. Probably the only thing I wished I would have done differently was to read over the house book upon arrival as there are key tips on how the hot water works at the house. That was my biggest surprise upon waking up to shower at 6 am...no hot water :-). It definitely was wonderful when we figured out how to boost the hot water tank. The book also gave great advice on places to visit and places to hike to. I especially liked hiking to the Jumping Church. In all, the stay was quite enjoyable. I would recommend this place to others that enjoy a country style vacation, as we did. A definite plus were the wonderful baked goodies that our hostess left for us at the time of our arrival...Delicious! Thanks for a wonderful place to call home for 4 days!"

"This is one of the most delightful places we've ever stayed. Simultaneously like staying in a dear friend's beautiful home AND the highest quality hotel. The locally sources and prepared food is superb; everyone who works there is friendly, professional, & helpful; the grounds & buildings are idyllic; and Carlingford is a lovely, well-appointed, walkable town. We would definitely return to Ghan House!"

"Cormac was excellent very friendly and professional and helpful. He had loads of recommendations of places to visit in area. Lodge was modern well equipped and spotless. A very safe and secure location with coded gates. Fantastic base for exploring the area and so close to greenway. Would highly reccomend checking it out"
