My family had a wonderful time in Lexington. The home was close to restaurants and shops. The home is beautifully decorated and very clean with all the necessities supplied. We would definitely stay here again.
College roomates and i had a great reunion trip. This place is classic and full of history. Host is very responsive and helpful. Everything is in walking distance! Love this place, i definitely recommend.
Beautifully renovated historic home in the perfect location!
My husband and I loved the historic home, it was clean and very comfortable, conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, with off-street private parking. The owners were so kind and generous! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
This historic home blended classic and modern touches seamlessly! It was close to quite a lot and we made use of the proximity. The beds were very comfy, and the decor was gorgeous. We’d definitely stay again!
This was a 5 star stay!! The cabin was beautifully furnished, spacious and very very convenient for all our Thanksgiving wants and needs. It was a beautifully restored historic property and the lovely antiques were an added delight!
We would definitely stay there the next time we were in Lexington!
This historic home is in the best neighborhood in Lexington, right in the middle of other historic homes and walking distance to many great restaurants. It is nicely appointed, very clean, and very comfortable. The listing photos depict it very well. My family and I would stay here again.
Great gathering spot for siblings arriving from Michigan, Tennessee and North Carolina. We enjoyed the charm of this historic home, prepared a couple of meals together and found ourselves close to town and the sights we wanted to see. Wonderful weekend!
Loved the history and charming personality of the cabin! Our group of seven wanted a unique place to stay and the Morrison Cabin was ideal. In addition to all the modern amenities, the beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water and easy access to local restaurants and attractions. Communication with John was great, we highly recommend this gem!
Comfortable cabin in convenient location. Clean, well appointed, and walkable to Rupp and several restaurants. Only complaint was the street noise due to proximity to a fairly busy intersection. Stayed over a holiday weekend and heard several emergency vehicles throughout the night.
Great location and property. The living room and dining room furniture are antique looking and very uncomfortable. The kitchen supplies are older and need replaced. Overall liv d the property, but needs updates to make it more comfortable.
We stayed at Morrison Cabin for a family wedding. It was an absolutely perfect place for a gathering. Sparkling clean and comfy. The antiques are just gorgeous.
This was our first time in Lexington, and Morrison Cabin was a perfect home base. We didn't need to rent a car. Easily walkable to wonderful restaurants and coffee shops.Instantly responsive host. Highly recommend!
We three meet every year to explore a city and Lexington was it this year. This place was the perfect place. It's right downtown next to a university and park in a lovely neighborhood. Parking was right there! The house is one of the original homes in Lexington and filled with history and decorated perfectly. Lots of comfy beds. A small kitchen so don't plan on doing any gourmet meals but great for breakfast and charcuterie boards. Very close to distilleries and horses and gardens. What more do you need?
We had a great girls trip to see JT! The location to Rupp Arena was PERFECT! We were able to walk to our event in under 10 minutes, slightly downhill. You pass lots of places to eat and shop too! The cabin/house was perfect for our group. There was a bed upstairs that was a little squeaky but we survived. The notes in the review book made us laugh and made the whole night even better! If we ever see anyone else at Rupp Arena we will totally reach out to stay here! Thanks for helping add to our memories!
We came to town to visit our son and attend a baseball game. We had a group of 9. There was ample free parking. It was a very easy walk to downtown and Rupp. We had the “house chef” cater a brunch for us and that was amazing!!! The kitchen is very small so would advise against trying to cook for a large group. Overall a fantastic experience! And a big win for the cats too!
Awesome old home. I kept staring at the old beams in the living room wondering what stories they could tell. This house is well maintained and you can tell it is loved. We walked to downtown every night and even walked to the football stadium, but we can easily trek many miles per day. Might be hard with elderly or kids.
There is street noise and sirens from a station close by. Didn’t phase me, but bring your earplugs if you aren’t accustomed to city life.
Tip: if you want to do bourbon or horse farm tours, book now. The more popular ones book out months in advance. Nicer restaurants also need to be booked. Corto Lima is a few blocks away and was my favorite dining experience of the trip. The bars closest to campus have more college aged patrons and rowdy. Bars closer to the house are older and laid back.
