"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Barrington Hotel. The room was clean and well-maintained, the bed comfortable and the bathroom surprisingly spacious. While a bit dated, as many other commenters mentioned, there was nothing missing from the amenities. The staff went out of their way to provide us top-notch service. The only slight glitch was that we struggled to park our (surprisingly tall) 2012 4Runner, as we learned that the recommended parking lot across from the hotel had a 5'11" limit, so initially we parked on a city street. After asking for additional help from the staff, they explained that there is a section of the garage reserved for taller vehicles, and we had no trouble with parking after that. With its extremely centralized downtown location and reasonable pricing, our stay at the Barrington Hotel will become a fond memory of our Halifax experience and we would definitely stay there again!"
