「Sunnybank House is exactly as described. Highlights for our group of 18 family and relatives include: evening gatherings around the two peat-burining fireplaces with a variety of Irish Whiskeys; a very short walk to the pubs and restaraunts in Clifden, having a chef cook a delicious dinner in our own kitchen for all of us to enjoy, sightseeing all around Connemara; golf at the Connemara Links course just 15 minutes away; and wonderful pub visits out in the country...especially Paddy Coynes pub...

「What an incredible and comfortable place. The views, property and region were stunning. Loved the cottage and its decor and the peaceful easy energy that surrounded us. We stayed eight days and enjoyed many day trips throughout the region. Plus several days simply being in the awe inspiring space watching the tides come in and flow out. 「We spent around 10 days in Aileens House und discovered Connemara and the west coast of Ireland. 「Everything was perfect for us to enjoy the area and drive into clifden for restaurants and pubs for traditional Irish music. The road is a bit narrow towards the house the last bit but we did it slowly. We also enjoyed great meals at the nearby Connemara sands hotel just near the house.」

「Debbie’s cottage was beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Debbie and the resident cat, Lilly - an added bonus! The views from the cottage were exactly as pictured, and made more enjoyable by the neighborhood of sheep, donkeys and cattle. The cottage is on a quiet road by the sea, perfect for daily strolls . Debbie was more than helpful with dining and activity suggestions. The only thing that would make our stay better would have been staying 2 weeks...

「I stayed here with my 2 teenage children and our dog. We loved the house and location. Only a short drive to gorgeous beaches when you turn right heading to roundstone and left towards ballyconneely. The house was really comfortable and well equipped. We all slept well in the calm and quiet of the beautiful surroundings. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks a million」

「Tidy and well equipped apartement located in a quite, peaceful area near the sea. Anna is a welcoming and caring host. Check-In and Check-Out went smoothly, as well as the communication. To address some items mentioned in others reviews: When we got there there was a musty smell, as others have mentioned, but it did get better over our time there. 「This cottage was an absolute dream. We arrived on a blowy evening and lit the woodburner in the cosy sitting room. In the morning we awoke to glorious views across a sparkling sea to the Connemara hills, with lambs hopping around the adjacent field. 「We absolutely loved the location of this property!! It is isolated, surrounded by the ocean inlets. Be prepared for the narrow roads and the one lane dirt road that brings you out on the island. It is not modern, but we were not looking for modern. We had everything we needed for our 6 day stay and enjoyed it immensely.」
