"Such a lovely place to stay. Fully equipped with everything you'd need, including some of their hen's eggs. The property comes with a heat pump and UFH (underfloor heating) so we were very cosy. There is also a wood stove but found it was not required for our stay in September. Would be amazing in the winter months. Great shower, strong water pressure and, plenty of hot water for 4 adults and 1 child. We look forward to returning and highly recommend to anyone else."

After an hour of ringing around, no other rooms in FW, had to drive 4 hours home, arriving at 1.30am with young children. Host communication poor, sent me to wrong place, neighbours all complaining about this host when I asked directions. Not the important part, but clearly characteristic. "We had a fabulous two day stay at the Invergarry Hotel. It's a truly charming hotel with an authentic Scottish atmosphere. Despite the hotel having an issue with both chefs being out due to illness, the staff did an amazing job of making up for that. The continental breakfast they offered was second to none and our travel companion loved the option of whisky with his porridge! Hats off to the staff for their ability to pivot and make our stay memorable and enjoyable. Thank you!"

"Ok, we admit it. We travelers from the USA are spoiled when it comes to hotel accommodations. While traveling in Europe, we can manage, quaint, tight rooms with tiny baths and showers, but after a couple weeks, you need a break. MacClean House in Ft. William was welcomed relief. Exceptionally clean and newly renovated, we spread out in a large king bedroom with sitting area and a spacious (by local standards) bath with a nice soaking tub. Check in, while a bit ‘digital age’-ish was efficient and easy. A doable walk to the rail station and the Main Street for shops and food, it is a pleasant layover on the route between Glasgow and Skye."
