一見古そうで期待外れかと思っていましたが夕食時、朝食時のスタッフがとてもフレンドリーでにこやかで好感が持てました。2つの大きな団体と一緒でしたがスタッフが上手にコントロールして快適に過ごせました。

Unusual place - bar and dining room was extra large with plenty of room, nice colours, comfy chairs. I think they were understaffed as they were pretty busy during dinner service. The rooms, although clean, was like stepping back 50 years in time. It was great that you could open the window as there was no air movement. A fan would've been handy. Tea, coffee, hair dryer all good. I thought for certain that i had booked with breakfast included for our 2 days but apparently not. I'll need to check that again when i get home. It's a little way out from Fort William and the view out the front of the building was stunning. Would i stay here again, yes probably, now that I know what to expect.

Hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel was spotless and very cosy. We had an exceptional dinner in the bar and breakfast the following day was very good too. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nice but it is just a hotel. It was clean. With beds for the three of us there was not much room to maneuver but we made it work. We enjoyed a great meal in the pub.

Unfortunately, our two-night stay was quite uncomfortable due to several issues with the room. The floorboards were extremely noisy and made loud creaking sounds whenever we walked. The noise was also noticeable from outside the room, so we could hear other guests walking in the corridor, which made it difficult to relax and get proper rest. The bed mattress was very poor quality, with springs that could be felt and were actually hurting us. We stayed for two nights but were unable to get a proper night’s sleep because of the uncomfortable mattress. The bathroom tap was very inconvenient and outdated. Although it was a single tap, the hot and cold water seemed to come out from different sides of the tap rather than mixing properly. This made it very difficult and annoying to get the right water temperature and definitely needs to be modernised. The room furniture was also very old and, in our opinion, definitely needs an upgrade. Another major concern was the lack of an inside door lock. This made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe, as we always had the feeling that somebody might try to open the door from outside. Having a proper internal locking mechanism would provide guests with much-needed peace of mind and security. Also missing pure veg food which is shocking in today’s time. On a positive note, the hotel staff were very friendly, polite and extremely helpful throughout our stay, big thank you. Overall, while the staff excellent, the hotel required urgent upgrade.

Firstly, the positives. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, and our bed was genuinely very comfortable. We certainly couldn’t fault the welcome or the people working there. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is incredibly tired and desperately needs some investment. The décor, furniture and fittings are very dated, and our room had more than a hint of an old people’s home about it. Some of the DIY and finishing touches were pretty ropey too, which rather added to the overall feeling that the place has seen better days. It’s a real shame because the basics are there, particularly the excellent staff, cleanliness and comfortable bed. With a proper refurbishment, it could be a very different hotel. For now, though, we’ll be keeping an eye out for Alex Polizzi arriving with her clipboard!

The hotel was terrible supposed to be bespoke which was advertised everywhere which it clearly was not, from creaky floorboards to uncomfortable beds to poor maid service the 4 days were an awful stay, which we would not be repeating.

Rooms are super clean. Exterior of hotel was in need of some paint and upkeep. Just stayed for 1 night passing through the highlands. Great lake views, didn’t eat at hotel. The one thing that noticed is when walking in the hallway you can hear inside the rooms.
