I am usually not one to complain about any kind of service industry but I could not hold back with this one. I will start with the front desk staff were very nice and accommodating! They let us keep our luggage there until we were able to check in. We wanted to go roam before check in time, so that was very nice of them. The room was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth $250 a night. More like a $100. The best thing about the room was the soaking tub. There’s one outlet for 3 people to share and it’s across the room. Not even close to the bed. Speaking of the bed, the beds were AWFUL! Extremely uncomfortable and full of springs. The hallways smell of wet paint and had old busted furniture just hanging out, as if someone had meant to toss it but was lazy and didn’t want to take it down the stairs. The room they put us in had a lovely view of the dumpsters in the back accompanied with a street lamp that shined right into our one window that we had to leave open due to no fans or other source of ventilation in the middle of summer. I hope this helps anyone deciding to book with them. If it’s your only option, I would call and request a room with a view of the loch.

Bar meal was terrible over cooked pizza with extra cheese and chopped onions put over it. Breakfast the cooked food was not hot slightly warm at best.

There were a lot of negative reviews for this hotel, but honestly, I enjoyed my stay. The reception area is nice with modern furnishings and views of the lake, the breakfast was tasty and also had nice views, the bar is nice to have in case you want a drink! The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The shower in our room was amazing! Fabulous water pressure and nice and hot! Yes, carpets were a little run down but the room facilities were modern. It was a little warm- fans would be nice. It’s also a good location- nice to be just outside of town and have the lake views but also easy drive in to town! Park at the Morrisons grocery and you are 2 minutes to the cute little shopping and eating area!

Realy helpful and nice staff. Evening entertainment was good. Beautiful views over Loch Linnhe. Good parking and unfortunately but not within walking distance of Fort William. Rooms dated and musty smell. Not bad overall but not worth the price we paid per night. Also bar drinks a bit pricey.

The room had a strong musty and moldy odor, which made it very uncomfortable. Although small, it could have been much cleaner. The toilet didn’t flush properly, and the carpet also carried a persistent damp, musky smell. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Building and facilities are very old. The bathroom is quite old and dated. The shower was so hot, without the ability to cool it off, that it was not usable! Great staff, bar, and food.

The lady at the front desk was lovely and so kind. The rooms could use some upgrades. Only two plug sockets, terrible mattress, and we found underwear in the wardrobe leftover from the previous guest which makes me question how well the rooms are cleaned.

Hotel is not very appealing! Best times are long long over. Room was smelly, very tiny, old and worn out. Upon arrival we had to let the matress be exchanged due to it being broken. The breakfast was minimalistic, the waitresses from the breakfast buffet were showcasing friendliness and sorry to say this, but their clothing appearance in regards to cleanliness and their clothes being worn and torn out has way to improve. Over all, never coming back again and would never recommend.

This was definitely not my favorite hotel. While the room itself was fairly clean, the hotel hallways were definitely not as well maintained and had a weird smell, which made me weary of the room actually being clean and not just surface level clean. The area this hotel was in was not super walkable into town, but the view outside the front was gorgeous and right on the lake. Staff was friendly and welcoming!

A wee bit out of town, but loch across the road, great views from bar and restaurant. Tour bus 🚌 came in when we did, caters for the large groups. Room was a wee bit tired but ok. bed was small, bathroom small but had everything we needed. There was a terrible smell of what I imagine was paint thinners (or fuel) as you exited the lift, on our floor, which then carried on in our room. I think they should not have had anyone on that floor that day, until the smell could be sorted. An ok stay, but the smell makes me not able to do a better review, as got a screaming headache, I am sure it does not normally smell like that. Dinner was good, 3 course option

Not a great place to stay, not similar to pictures shown. It’s a very old property and smells awful. The room was very small and didn’t have much space for our luggage or to walk. We booked a family room for 3 people but it had an extra single bed fitted in a double room. The toilet was old and things were broken. The mirror was dirty and we tried cleaning it but couldn’t. Towels provided were old. The staff in restaurant was rude, we wanted to move to the window table but the lady said that they’re closing in 10 minutes and asked us to sit in the bar instead. We were asked to remove our car and park it somewhere else as they were expecting a coach but there was enough space for our car to be parked in that bay and still have the coach. The guy didn’t request, he just ordered to remove the car right after we parked and didn’t even thank you. Never going back to this property. Nothing was good about our stay, except the Loch view outside the hotel.

Old, tired hotel that needs major maintenance. Mold in the bathtub, outer skirt of bathtub was falling off. Dinner was a major disappointment. Flavorless steak, frozen carrots, potatos needed salt (and I never add salt) Order wine by the color from the bar staff

This was a last minute booking so didn’t really have an expectation, however from arriving to leaving it was a lovey experience, the room was a little dated but clean with lovely view over the loch . Bed very comfortable and en/suite clean . We had already eaten during the day so didn’t use the restaurant in the evening instead choosing a pizza as a bar meal which was nicely presented and tasty . The bonus for the evening was a live singer who sang a selection of different hits we all know Overall a very pleasant stay
