Gîte le Bouirou - LES MARTYS

In the heart of the Montagne Noire, between Mazamet and Carcassonne, discover the Gîte le Bouirou in a natural setting surrounded by meadows and forests. The location is ideal for exploring: the Haut-Languedoc Natural Park, the impressive Mazamet Footbridge, the medieval city of Carcassonne, Albi Cathedral, the Cathar castles of Lastours, mountain bike trails, and many unique spots for fishing, hiking, or swimming. Just 3 km from the cottage, you can swim at the Laprade Dam in the summer (under the supervision of a lifeguard). The village has a grocery store, as well as a bar and a restaurant. At the cottage, you’ll have a private terrace with furniture and patio sets, as well as a wood-fired barbecue, so you can enjoy relaxing moments in a peaceful setting where rest will be the highlight of your stay! You can even enjoy the terrace in the evening without worrying about mosquitoes. A large, private outdoor area—mostly fenced in—is also at your disposal. Let yourself be guided by the forest trails right next to the cottage, which make this place truly unique. Furthermore, thanks to the elevation and the proximity to the forest, the nights stay cool even during hot spells. This single-story cottage includes: _A living room with a sitting area (sofas and TV), a wood-burning stove to keep you warm, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining table. _A first bedroom with two 90-cm beds that can be pushed together to form a king-size bed, plus storage space; _A second bedroom with two 90-cm single beds, plus storage space; _A bathroom with a walk-in shower and sink; _A separate toilet with a hand-washing basin. _A laundry area with a washing machine. You can park your car in front of the cottage, which also has a secure gate. Four bicycles are available to borrow. Electric heating.
