Dusty surfaces. There are some bugs - tiny spiders, ants, moths etc in the room but the motel does provide the room with a can of insect spray in case you need it. We did travel during summer so maybe that's a factor. Recommend to bring wipes for surfaces but as a road tripper, you should have those with you anyway. Checkin process was super easy even though we arrived late the first night.

Comfortable bed, good heater, bathroom tired but good set up, shower door needed attention, good to have toaster & plates for a light breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.

Cosy, comforable room. Bathroom a bit basic place but all in all a lovely place for a one night stay
Manager very receptive to our modest needs as was on previous stays. Fixtures and room amenities suit our vintage and rural background. Place of choice for our next visit to the area.
The motel is very clean and convenient. The rooms have a microwave, kettle and toaster which is great, however no tea towel or dishwashing liquid.
Reasonably priced motel.

This place is very dated, but priced accordingly. The online description was very accurate. Well stocked with clean glasses, ect. And a lovely BBQ area.
Haven’t been here for a while but as always Ian was there , friendly smile and a chat. He’s lovely. The place is in great location. If you need to go to Leongatha give it a go
Clean crisp sheets on bed, warm & quiet. Definately in need of some love. Shower was mouldly & big eucalyptus in need of urgent attention as it is likely to drop diseased limbs at anytime.
I had a room @ the front of the motel & it has a beautiful view to the west where you could view the sunset etc. The front garden (which my room open on to) is beautiful with a particularly big tree. The room itself was functional & had all the things you could require.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
It was good but we had ants and bugs in our room. The bed was comfy and had a heated blanket. The bathroom was clean the appliances were abit outdated. I suppose it suffice for our purpose of visiting
Walkable to town centre. Some lovely eateries. The room we stayed in needed a bit of TLC. Our shower screen didn’t work and a tap dripped all night in the sink as we were unable to turn it off. On the plus side when we arrived it was very organised and we were able to access our room early.

Very old and basic and in need of an upgrade. However was very clean and comfortable.
Structurally, it was a standard old-style 1960s motel room. It was clean and bright, and it happened to be well-heated ahead of our arrival on a very cold 2 degree night in June, and it was well-sealed, with no draughts. There were electric blankets on both beds in our twin room and spare blankets and pillows in the wardrobe. The beds were good and I slept better there than I had in weeks at home. There were cups, glasses and wine-glasses, and milk in the fridge. It was situated on the far edge of town, on the road to Meeniyan and was therefore very quiet, with little traffic driving past. It had a view over to the rolling hills that are so picturesque around here. The owner, Ian, was very easy to deal with.
While the bed was clean and comfortable, the whole place looks as if it’s stuck in the 70’s. The towels are so threadbare I’d say they’re also from that era. In need of a good updating and general tidy-up, as there was a lot of cobwebs in my room, despite it being full booked last night, would have been worth a go-around and de-cobweb. It’s alright for a 1 night stay if passing through, especially if just one person travelling for work.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Room was comfortable with limited amenities. Furniture adequate but chairs need shampooing. Bathroom power socket was taped with sticky tape which would not be safety compliant. Sufficiently comfortable and clean otherwise.

The room was very basic and is exceptionally outdated; needs a major upgrade.
The mattress on the bed wasn’t great and the bedding was very poor quality. The towels were very thin, no pile at all.
It’s one redeeming quality was that it was clean
