This house and property were a wonderful place for our family to gather. Everything was clean and in great condition. It was vey cold outside and cozy inside. The porch is amazing. I am originally from this area and have a lot of family nearby and we will be staying here again.

Great little hideaway

Beautiful mountain cabin

Peaceful retreat. Amazing views and wildlife. You can barely see the neighbors. Very clean house with an excellent stock of stuff. Additionally, the layout is the best we've seen for handicap/ wheelchair access. The only two items I'd suggest to improve would be to regrade the access road and have a better plan for trash pickup.

Taste of Winter for Floridians

I took my wife, dog, cat, college-age daughter, and her friend to experience a little real winter weather and hopefully some snow as a respite from our south Florida living. House was great - private, but not overly remote and scary as being out in the country alone can be. Great hiking trails on lot, awesome hills to sled (Mother Nature did not deliver) and easily drivable to awesome hiking experiences in area and Pisgah Forest. Town was An easy 10 minute drive (Lenoir), Blowing Rock was 35 min and Boone was 50. Got our snow in Blowing Rock and Pisgah forest elevations so trip Objective was fulfilled. House was large but comfortable, well equipped for all kitchen needs. Master bed was very comfy and master bath was plenty big for 2. Other 2 bedroom options were queen bed or bunk beds - neither suited 2 college girls’ needs so they crashed on downstairs rec room couches instead - no complaints. We ended up buying a property in the area and will definitely stay here again as we develop that plot. Communication with owner was great. Highly recommend.

Beautiful 360 degree views.

The location was very private. The views extraordinary. Beneficial to be able to bring our 2 dogs. Enjoyed the porch and rocking chairs while having wine or drinking coffee in the mornings.

Labor Day Getaway

We loved the house and property. Watched awesome sunrises and sunsets from the porch. The hummingbirds were a delight.

Clean, quiet, with great views

House was clean and the views were beautiful. My one recommendation is to try to first arrive when it's still daylight. I think it would have been a little tricky if we had first arrived in the evening. After driving up to the house once, it was no problem at night.

Beautiful scenery

Beautiful home inside and out. It is wheelchair accessible both upstairs and downstairs. To access downstairs ( basement ) with wheelchair you will have to go outside and around the home. Not a big deal or deal breaker at all for me as long as weather is permitting. Love the area and home owners are super great and helping with any accommodations you may need. This place is wonderful. Will definitely book again.

Dream Escape

This is an amazing stay. Just what my family was looking for. The view is beautiful. The space is perfect for us our dogs to be able to run and enjoy nature. Great trails on the property. We were sad to leave and plan to come back often. Would definitely recommend this property.

Great family getaway

It was beautiful and quiet - able to see and hear hummingbirds on the front porch! The house was fully stocked with essentials. There was lots of room to explore inside and outside.

Lots of space

We felt right at home in this cabin. There is lots of space to move around. The downstairs was a fun hangout with the fireplace and TV. We walked the property and was hoping for some winter fishing...but the pond was frozen solid! That was unexpected and very cool. The property seems like its all by itself, but its just a short drive to Lenoir where the shops, grocery stores and restaurants are. We stopped at Bo's entertainment and did some mini-golf, bowling, arcade games and laser tag. One negative was no trash service so we had to bring trash with us when we left every couple of days, but it did not detract from the experience.

Peace and tranquility

Wonderful house with ample room. The wrap around porch was the selling point for us along with having acreage to roam on with our dogs. The views all day long from the porch were wonderful. And the star gazing from the driveway was fantastic! I really appreciated having the only TV downstairs in the recreation room. We wanted to get away from the noise of work/Raleigh and we accomplished that :)

Wonderful stay

We cannot wait to come back to this home. It was so comfortable for our family visiting Lenoir. We enjoyed the trails and fishing even in the rain. The home was beautiful!!!
