「we enjoyed this property so much that we want to come back ASAP !!! it simply had everything we needed for a getaway. the kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking tools and we loved the overall layout of the house !!! would be comfortable to travel with another couple or kids. we stayed on the deck the entire time !!! if we were going to say one thing that was missing, it would be an outside TV and fan (for the summer) !!! but wow just wow we had a great time and great stay !!!」

「This property was beautiful and peaceful. The place was nicely decorated. For the property being pricey, the gravel parking lot and the unloading of luggage was very unexpected. One thing I can say is that we got in our steps while unloading. Next time we will bring our travel wagon. 😅. Other than that we enjoyed the stay!」

「My husband and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary and truly enjoyed our stay! The Retro Villa was clean, neat, and fully stocked with plenty of necessities. Our favorite spot in the villa was the deck with an incredible view to the Marina.We visited the beach, shopped, and experienced a relaxing and informative boat tour on the Cape Fear River. 「My husband, children and I enjoyed a 2-night stay. We LOVED the property and location. The property was clean, the kitchen was stocked appropriately with dishes and basic kitchen ware, and there is a full-size washer and dryer which would be a must if we had gone to the beach. I see this being useful if we decided to book a week-long stay or stay during beach season. Parking was simple, and coming and going was simple as well. We loved that there was no noise. 「Staying in the house boat was one of the cooler things we have done. It was even nicer than the pictures. The marina and river walk are some much fun and great restaurants. It was a 10 out of 10. We will be back for sure.」

「The boathouse was absolutely immaculate- inside and out. Had everything you could need. Views from the balconies were amazing. It’s in the perfect location - pretty much within the walking distance of everything downtown. There is a free trolly/bus system that serves downtown and stops right at the corner of the cove if you don’t feel like walking everywhere. It’s a very special place to stay and experience- nothing else quite like it!」
