House was clean and well equipped
The house itself was fine.Listing MismatchesThird bedroom was listed as 2 twin beds. Actually, it has a youth bed and a set of bunk beds.Listing states 4 bedrooms, however one of what is listed as a bedroom does not meet Florida law when it comes to defining a bedroom. It is actually a den with a sleep sofa and no closet. It has glass doors so no privacy.Listing indicates a heated pool, however there is a 200 per week charge activate the pool heater. The 200 seems excessive.Other issuesWe were not provided with a remote garage door opener. Had to get out of car and use a pin pad to open and close the door. This is our 4th rental in Lehigh Acres and the first where we were not provided with a remote for the garage/The refrigerator has a built-in ice maker but evidently not connected. Did find an ice tray to make ice,The house has a NEST thermostat. Temp was OK for us but no instructions as to how to change the temperature.House rules state NO Shoes. Floors are tiled so not sure why they have this restriction. Found it to be an inconvenience.It took 2 weeks for the refund of the security deposit. I though this to be an excessive amount of time.While we were there, one of the smoke detectors started beeping indicating a weak battery. A maintenance person was sent the next day. In looking at the detectors, they appear to be more than the 10-year limit for replacement.Lehigh is a bit remote. Have to go to Ft Myers for nice restaurants.
