"The Old Post House was exactly as we had envisaged. Full of character, perfectly positioned over the harbour and very comfortable. Shelley helpfully gave us all the information we needed and left us to it. Parking would have been a challenge had we not been the only ones staying, but there was room in the village. "A stunning 2 bed house 2 minutes from the beach. The property included a little garden and a parking space across the road. The decorative condition was immaculate and it had all the conscience items you need. Thoughtfully, the owner even coffee capsules, basic items for cooking ( salt pepper, olive oil etc) as a much welcome bottle of Merlot to celebrate our arrival. And Lenny ( our doggie) was left a handful of really lovely biscuits - or so he tells us.The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean. It's amazing how clean the place was considering it's dog friendly. Lots of work, I'm sure but we appreciated it.Porthallow is a lovely little village at the end of a typical twisty, hilly, narrow Cornwall road. A pub, a bistro cafe and great people. Idyllic! Talk to the fishermen repairing their lobster cages at the end of the beach, have the crab salad at The Fat Apple, definitely try the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream at rte Five Pilchards."

The food was excellent as good as any London restaurant."
