「Without doubt - the most idyllic place with stunning views I’ve ever experienced. A return visit is definitely on the cards. The lodge is beautiful and pristine and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. Just sitting in the living area with the folding patio doors wide open, looking out onto Catbells is simply bliss. I can’t rate this place enough. 5 star rating for definite.」

「It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river.」

「This was our 3rd stay at Fairbank and we book it purely for the location: love the ease of access to the town centre, yet there's a feeling of being in the countryside due to the quiet lane and view of the river and park.
The house is absolutely fine: the bed is comfy, it's warm and has a little suntrap of a garden at the back. If I were to suggest improvements it would be: provide a long length mirror and a large pot for cooking.
We'll definitely be back!!!」
