The cottage feels like you are at a cabin up in Maine. It has a rustic feel and it is on a quiet lake where time seems to have been forgotten. It is literally right on the water, as you can see in the pictures. The cozy cottage is perfect for a vacationing couple, or two, or a family. The waterfront cottage has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a spacious living room with a wood stove. The large screened-in porch is a favorite place for meals overlooking the water. A large oak tree provides shade with picnic tables, chairs, park benches, and a fire pit, all with water views. There are horseshoes and a second fire pit up on the bank looking down the whole lake, and a badminton/ volleyball net in the front yard during the summer. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready, just bring your food. Coffee, sugar, and spices are provided. The Cottage was the perfectly cozy home away from home for our Thanksgiving trip to visit family. Everything was thought of from the towels for the hot tub, to the coffee for the morning. Thanks so much for such a lovely getaway for our family!
Spent 4 days here with my wife for our 20th anniversary and although it was in the middle of an arctic blast, the cottage made the whole trip worth it!! Amazing being right on the water, and cottage had all the amenities to make you feel at home!! Can't wait to go back, hopefully to do some fishing with the grandkids!!
We enjoyed our stay. Access to the lake was great. The hot tub is a nice touch. Location was perfect for exploring the area and Mystic. The outdoor porch/seating area is wonderful.
We only spent one night in the cabin but we absolutely loved it! I’d love to come back when it’s a little warmer to take advantage of more of the outdoor activities. But the cabin was warm and cozy, and the hot tub made for great stargazing.
Very clean, comfortable and great view of the lake
This is my 2nd time staying there and will probably visit again. Owner is very accommodating and responsive. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.
Just wanted to get away for a couple of days. Very quaint cottage right on the water. Place was Very well-maintained while keeping the rustic charm. Owner was very helpful with giving activities and stuff to do. Would love to stay in warmer weather to enjoy the water.
We had such a wonderful time and have already made plans for 2024. The dock is right on the water. Kayaks and canoe at our disposal. An evening hot tub, even in the rain was fabulous. We loved our time there.
Comfortable and cozy cabin directly on the water. Nice hot tub on the dock, comfortable beds and cozy living area with plenty of fire wood for the stove. Neighboring properties are a bit disheveled, but otherwise a nice location.
My family and I had such a wonderful time staying at the cottage and waking up every morning to the lake views right out your door. Our host Bobby was very friendly and helpful and made sure we had what we needed. The area is absolutely beautiful and short drives to most everywhere. Mystic is a wonderful town with lots of shops, museums and places to eat. My family and I will definitely return!
The house was clean and really cute ! The pond was great for kayaking (too much vegetation to swim in ).the host responded to me with any questions I had and was very friendly. It was a very relaxing place my family and I look forward to going again.
It was beautiful weather. So relaxing just sitting by the pond enjoying watching the ducks swim by. Watching Christmas movies with the wood stove keeping us warm! We will be back.
A traditional family lake cottage. Peaceful, quiet, and rented with love. Everything from the thoughtful little notes in the home to the paintings on the wall makes you feel cozy and welcomed. Everything you could need or want is provided. The hot tub under the stars, on the water is really the icing on the cake.
Just an absolute gem of a lake house. It’s private and peaceful. After a day of swimming, floating and paddling, the hot tub was the best way to end the days while watching the sunset. We went to the Sailfest fireworks in New London. Shopped in Mystic and of course spent a day at the casino. The house is tucked away but within 5 miles of everything. Everyone had a great time!
I’ve been looking at this listing for years. My husband and I finally made it up there and it was just wonderful. The pictures are accurate. The place was spotless. The beds were so comfortable. And the lake was gorgeous. It had everything we could possibly need and then some. I got a kick out of seeing everything labeled, but it was actually really helpful. The cottage is rustic, but well kept. If you’re looking for fancy and luxurious, this place is not for you. But it’s very comfortable in so many respects. And definitely pay the extra for the hot tub. Lying in it and staring at the stars was my favorite part of the day. Soooo relaxing. The cottage is about 15 minutes to Mystic. At first it seemed like a long ride, but as we kept doing it it became easier. Such a pretty ride. I laughed when I realized we ate all our meals on the water. Delicious food. If you like fried scallops you need to go to the Breakwater in Stonington, which is just a short hop from Mystic. The scallops—-O.M.G. I’ve been around a long time and have had many a scallop, but these were incredible. I’ll dream about them. If you’re looking for a really good breakfast place go to Somewhere In Time which is about a 5 minute drive. My husband went there every morning. Delicious and reasonable. Overall, this was just a terrific getaway. I just wish we could have stayed longer. PS. We fished off the dock everyday with no luck I’d love a small rowboat so we could go out deeper. We’ll be back!
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! It was so cozy and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. Mini splits kept our rooms toasty on the cold night, and we had everything we needed. Our host was super communicative and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
We had an incredible stay in this house. The check in and out process was very easy. It was so cozy for a perfect fall getaway. We loved being right along the water with great views of the lake and fall leaves. We took the kayaks out and enjoyed the hot tub for a relaxing fall day. We will definitely be back!
There were stunning views, it was very relaxing, and we had excellent communication with the host. We couldn’t be happier, it was perfect! Kayaking was the best part. Plenty to see and do in the area as well.
