Welcome to historic Millstream House! Beautifully positioned on 12 acres, this one-of-a-kind 1799 estate is reputed to have been designed by Thomas Jefferson. Enjoy an al fresco lunch or bonfire by the waterfalls, or fly-fishing and wading in the stocked spring-fed stream. Meander through woodland paths, manicured formal gardens, or tree-lined avenues. The accommodation is on the 2nd floor of the newly-restored 1803 mill, and is the only finished area. You would have the building to yourself! Cozy and luxurious interior furnishings reflect the bucolic tranquility of the outdoors. The two-hundred year-old manor house is located across the green from the Millhouse. The estate is conveniently located within 15 minutes to Hershey, 30 to Harrisburg and Lancaster, and less than 10 minutes from the turnpike. Enjoy the close proximity of all this area has to offer, while also enjoying the green rolling hills and star-filled night sky of a historic country estate.

House and grounds were beautiful. Stayed for a few days for a Hersheypark trip with the kids. Just 15 minutes from the park and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind after some busy days. The kids loved the picnic tables, the covered bridge and waterfall. The house was spacious and bonus that they had a very comfortable pull out sofa bed (the most comfortable any of us had stayed on). Highly recommend and would stay again!

The only complaint we have, and this is nitpicking because everything was wonderful and clean, is that it was pretty dirty under the couches. We only had to go under the couches to gather some lost toys my 2-year-old tossed around.

Fantastic! In Hershey for a tournament and so happy we stayed here vs. a few nights in a hotel. Beautiful property and super quiet. The rental was spacious, had everything you need and really well cared for. We would absolutely stay here again if we’re back in the area!

Relaxing and scenic!

A gorgeous and comfortable place to stay. Was far enough away from Hershey so it didn’t feel like you’re smothered with other travelers. We loved coffee outside in the morning and the built in windows. Such an amazing place! Thanks for having us.

wonderful retreat, but close to Hershey!

The property was beautiful, and very well kept. The furnishings were very nice and you felt like you were on a vacation, but it was homey at the same time. Nice and quiet and secluded, but close enough when you want to see attractions. Would love to stay here again.

Beautiful Inside and Out

We loved our stay! The apartment is bigger than we thought it would be with tons of beautiful light and open space for our son to enjoy insight and out. The kitchen is supplied with everything we needed to make easy dinners and we loved the extra touches on the coffee bar. Such a special place for a quick getaway and for exploring our de route places near by in Mt. Gretna. Thanks for a great stay!

Historic Millstream House Weekend Stay

The Millstream house is definitely one of a kind, and there is so much to do on the property. The MH is completely remodeled inside to make you feel right at home. Highly recommended.
