I highly recommend the Circle H Ranch lodge. Privacy, swimming, hiking.
We enjoyed our stay at the Circle H Ranch lodge and it accommodated our family of 10 very well. The hiking, swimming, and relaxing in the hammocks made it a perfect vacation get away.
This property is more than what is listed, there are so many trails and PERFECT walk to the pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay can cant wait to go back!
Amazing property with beautiful natural surroundings. The lodge was fully stocked with ample room for large families. The private swimming hole was great and the hiking trails along the spring were fantastic for exploring the grounds. Fun themed cantina and outdoor fur pit/grilling area were gathering spaces.Bonus feature was all the exotic animals on site!A definite gem in the hill country

Circle H ranch was wonderful!!
We had a great time and really enjoyed the ranch! I got sick the first day there and wasn't able to enjoy the swimming hole or the river but my family did and we will defintely be back!
We had such a wonderful time! John and Jen were so accommodating and the property is absolutely breath taking! There was plenty for everyone to do (ages 16-73 were with us). This is a MUST GO location! We will certainly be back!
Circle H Ranch is the perfect getaway from the Big City. Circle H Ranch is quiet, well kept, and beautifully set in the hill country. There is fun for all ages with a big yard, a swimming hole, and a well stocked kitchen to make delicious meals that bring family and friends together in fellowship. The owners are very responsive and wonderful hosts. We hope to be back again soon.

Great house, The Lodge,! Roomy, well Decorated, furnished, and stocked! Cantina and fire pit and lanai make the stay wonderfully fun! Scenery spectacular. Walking trails great. Can’t think of where else would be better! In summer add the swimming hole and river floating you’ve got,it all. Even great owners!
This is the perfect place to get away from busy life and enjoy Texas history. The lodge is pristine and we enjoyed celebrating our son’s 13th birthday in the Cantina out back, playing cards, listening to music, grilling and making a fire in the massive firepit. The animals on the property took our breath away, so majestic and peaceful. The owner, Jen, went above and beyond to help make our stay and our son’s birthday the most memorable!
It was very nice to unplug and enjoy being a family, communication was perfect with owners and we had everything we needed. Loved seeing all the animals on the property and really enjoyed sitting outside at night with the wind that blows on the porch. Thank you for opening your place to us! FYI my son is now asking for a baby zebra lol

Unforgettable Experience
This property was amazing. A beautiful natural spring creek runs alongside the house and ends in a crystal clear swimming hole. We enjoyed every minute hiking, swimming, and taking in the natural beauty of the ranch. Our children had a wonderful experience they won't soon forget as well. Even the young children enjoyed playing in the ankle deep waters where the creek enters the pool. Thank you to the Harwoods for sharing this unique and beautiful property.
The location is great. The owners and managers were super easy to deal with. The place actually looks better than the pictures, and the pictures looked great. We will be back, and appreciate that the kitchen had everything we could have ever wanted. We grilled outside, (there is a great charcoal grill btw) and burned a fire each night. The rooms are laid out great, and absolute peace and quite out there is hard to find anywhere. The Zebra, Gnu, Red Stag and other wildlife roaming the property was a great added bonus.

Absolutely Breathtaking
This weekend could not have been more perfect. The lodge was located at the end of the ranch drive in a nice and private area. We were able to stay on the ranch and enjoy the amazing spring fed pool. We were told the river wasn't a very enjoyable float this memorial day weekend so I daresay we had the best spot in all of Real county. Jen and her husband were incredible hosts and made the stay even better. We will most definitely be back and may even make this a yearly ritual. The location and beauty of this area was only surpassed by the loveliness of the home and the hospitality received. Due to this specific house I will probably never opt to stay at Garner State Park again, well as long as this place is available.
Super nice quiet vacation. Kids loved the swimming and walking along the rio frio. They enjoyed seeing the zebras, exotic deer, and especially the wildebeast. Campfire with smore's of course! and spend evenings using an app to find the constellations in the night sky! House was comfortable and clean. Mattresses were in good condition which is always important for us due to back problems. Employees were on hand quickly when a storm blew in and sent things flying! We appreciated their attention to detail and they arrived before we could even contact them! We really enjoyed the relaxation of this trip! Much needed this covid summer!

Mother's Day Weekend
We met our daughters and their families here for Mother's Day and had an incredible weekend! We never had to leave after arriving because everything we could have wanted was right there. The house was very nice and the property was just gorgeous. The kids ran barefoot through the grass and played outdoor games that we brought. The tv was not turned on and MOST of the time, phones were set aside. The owner came by to check on us a time or two, which was nice, but we didn't need a thing. And of course, the pool! That is where we spent our time. We enjoyed every minute of this vacation and are already talking about next year!

Amazing getaway for young urban professionals
I booked the Circle H Lodge for my group of young urban professionals and it was everything we wanted for a Texan Memorial Day weekend. The ranch is majestically tucked away between sets of steep hills next to Garner State Park, the perfect setting for an escape from the city. We were appreciative of the upkeep of the animal ranch, trails, natural spring pool, the cantina, and of course the lodge itself. We had 10 guests and still had plenty of room for more. The lodge was spacious, extremely clean, well-appointed, and had plenty of room for indoor and outdoor activities and big group dinners. Although it rained for much of the weekend, we still managed to hike one of the steep hills, swim in the natural pool, explore the property, barbecue, and play yard games. Because of the rain, we made good use of the cantina at night. This is a very special property and Jen made the booking and preparation processes flawless; she was amazingly helpful and thoughtful, especially considering the historic flooding this area had to deal with during Memorial Day weekend.
